Re: New radio: 'Repeater not found

Solved: Took me all day but I found the solution. It wasn't obvious by looking at the individual channel setup page but it became clear when I looked at the page that shows all channels. My screen was too small and I didn't notice one field past contact. There is a RadioID field. You can see it on t...

Re: How do I know if I Need to update API Keys to V2?

Link below shows what, where, why and how... https://news.brandmeister.network/ Sent via smoke signals from my SM-G935F M1DNS (Admin) I already read that before I posted here. It doesn't address my questions. That's why I posted here. But I think I have the answer. Since I've never used API keys, I...

New radio: 'Repeater not found

I have just switched radios for my hotspot. I'm now using a 6x2 from BTech. I've only programmed a couple channels, TG91 and TG9990 (echo). But I'm getting "Repeater not found" errors when I key up. My new radio is not being received by the hotspot. If I bring up the TG using my other rad...

Re: Stupid question time - HS, RF, Net meanings in context

1. Yes. HS = Hotspot 2. RF is the RF signal the hotspot is receiving from your transceiver. The RF display only shows what the HS is receiving not what its transmitting Ah, I see. So anyone looking at the same gateway activity on their hotspot would see me as Net while theirs would show only their ...

Re: It seems that I can send but I cannot receive

You need to set Hotspot Security. There are lots of posts with instructions. I had something similar. The gateway activity could see my activity but no other activity. And I could use the echo function but I never heard my audio. My problem was solved when I noticed I didn't have a Master set. Once...

Stupid question time - HS, RF, Net meanings in context

I've had two DMR setups for a few years. Maybe I knew this once but if I did, I forgot and can't seem to find the answer. 1) In the acronym MMDVM_ HS, what does the HS stand for. Does it just mean HotSpot? 2) on the gateway activity for my hotspots, I see (under SRC) Net and RF. Fir everyone else, i...

How do I know if I Need to update API Keys to V2?

It's pretty bad that I don't know if I have something to do. ;) I read something about updating API Keys to V2. But I have no clue if I have to do anything if they are already at V2. My hotspots have been down for over a year. They were configured some long time before. It may be they are already V2...

Re: What does BER really indicate?

That's kind of what I figured but 1 issue wasn't addressed and I'm not sure what to do about it. Like I said, I don't know what the offset should be. I've tried to adjust it starting with small changes and gradually increasing it. But I don't see any changes in BER. I keep increasing the offset (bot...

What does BER really indicate?

I know the definition, so don't just repeat the definition. I'm actually an Electrical Engineer, so I generally understand most of this. However, I'm confused about BER and how it pertains, or is relevant to Pi-Star hotspots and DMR. Why am I confused, you ask? 1) Well, when I transmit I ALWAYS have...

RE: TYT MD UV380 (but might apply to other) I'm trying to understand Channel List A vs. B, from a DNR perspective. I mean Slot 1 and Slot 2 have a DMR perspective. I understand that usage. But CHA lists and CHBB lists, Really don't seem to have a DMR perspective. They might have a radio perspective....
