Re: Recover user name to log into the admin of pi-star dashboard

Hi,

no, it isn't asking for your Brandmeister acoount there. Pi-Star is asking for your local, Pi-star account to make sure, only you can change its configuration.

If you haven't changed the password you may find the defaults here:

Re: Boots up and goes to terminal

Hi,

that's a normal behavior of pi-star.

You have to use a second device (laptop, smartphone or such), open a web browser there and put

http://pi-star/admin/

into the adress bar of this browser to see the admin page.

Re: Strange Behavior

Hi Rob,

simply go to the configuration page and press one of the "Apply Changes" buttons! ;)

This will write your callsign to the files again.

Oh yes!
I didn't read it complete...

TG4000 only disconnects dynamically booked TGs.

Re: Pi-Star Dashboard and TYT390 listening stops after 10 minutes

Dual (duplex) hotspots can't auto-static a TG like simplex hotspots do. That's why disconnecting automatically after 10 minutes. The solution is: Defining the TG as a static TG on the Brandmeister. ıf you want to disconnect from the TG, since it is a very busy one, you can TG4000 and leave. Am I ri...

Re: Pi-Star Dashboard and TYT390 listening stops after 10 minutes

Hi, this is not a "strange problem", more a "works as designed" ;) What you've done is called "dynamic booking" of a talk group. This is, when someone wishes to listen to a talk group, which is NOT static booked on a repeater. So the user does a short TX on this talkgro...

Re: Possible dead Pi STAR

Hi,

this is more a Raspberry Pi than a Pi-Star question. So you would probably find more/better answers in a Raspberry Pi forum.

A short search with Google found https://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting , which can help you decoding, what your Raspberry is telling you with it's led's.

Re: Private calls on Brandmeister via hotspot

Hi, I believe the question was another: What if HamA does a private call to HamB and (at the same time) there is a qso ongoing on a talkgroup, whis is static bound to HamB's hotspot? I think, HamB will not recognize this private call because his hotspot is busy sending the traffic in the talkgroup. ...

Re: TOut - what that means?

Hi all, many thanks, Anton! This confirms that my patch is working for D-STAR, DMR and YSF modes. I was only able to confirm this for YSF and DMR here. As we can see, anytime when "TOut" is displayed, there is a reason for this: MMDVMHOST has logged these timeouts. I've already tested anot...

Re: Howdo

Hi, I'm using this case ( https://www.tekogehause.de/en/news/tek-berry-raspberry-pi-model-b-case , the right transparent one) for my hotspot consisting of a Raspberry Pi 2B and an DF2ET MMDVM duplex board. Both can be put together and will fit into the TEK Berry case. You only have to drill two hole...
