Re: Private Hosts files being overwritten with update on V4

Has this ever been addressed? It's now 4 years in the future and still happening. Should I create a differently named file and point to that in the MMDVMHosts?

Re: Roger beep?

I'm not a Fusion user, but I expect my experience on P25 is more or less applicable; on all transmissions, Pi-Star switches from the digital mode it's using to analog FM for a quick beep. If I have my radios set in mixed mode RX, I'll hear that beep, so I need to have that channel set to digital RX....

Re: What changes on Configuration Page do and do not impact the Expert:Full Edit script?

Wow. Nice to hear of this slightly IMPERATIVE issue after some 5 YEARS of using Pi-Star.... Is there any mention of this in the instructions..? (I wondered why small changes on the Config page were totally corrupting my setup...good thing I do frequent backups...).

Re: SSH login-- Typing is garbled...

Also, logging into Pi-star via a different SSH program works just fine. Sounds like whatever terminal emulation type your other program was using is incorrect. Could also be wrong character set. Don't you mean the other program IS correct...? That's the one that's working correctly; pistar SSH is t...

SSH login-- Typing is garbled...

Anybody seen this before? Attempting to login via Expert–>SSH login, when I try to type the username, extra characters I'm not typing keep appearing. After some backspacing/retyping, I can get the username in eventually but since you can't see the password, that's as far as I can go. This just start...

Re: Pistar loses connection to P25 Reflector...

Sorry; P25Gateway.

BTW, I never got to starting from scratch for the same reason; I wasn't ready to give up yet, plus I wanted to know just WTF was going on. Glad I stuck with it...

Re: Issues with P25 via home internet

Here's another possibility, that absolutely affected a friend of mine: His cable modem suddenly started using some frequencies right smack in the 420-450MHz range after previously not using any below about 600MHz (hence the cable modem was being jammed by his onsite 100w UHF repeater periodically). ...

Re: Pistar loses connection to P25 Reflector...

But in the end, wasn't my sole problem that 'Remote' (or Remote Commands?) was enabled in Pi-Star but disabled on my P25 Reflector...?

Re: Pistar loses connection to P25 Reflector...

OK, I figured it out-- I was going through all the .ini files and noticed the reference to port 6074, for enabling remote commands, which I had enabled a few weeks ago to test out. Well, at the time it didn't appear to work, and having not researched that functionality (nor aware there was an answer...
