Re: OpenGD77 - Repeater
I'm very interested also, in the possibility of connecting two gd77's acting them as a standard not-too-low power repeater! Coming from two HS Dual Hats, very bad in receiving (yes, worse than the 20mW on TX!!!). I just leaved a comment in Roger Clark blog asking for that, He and his friends are mak...

Re: Duplex hat to work as simplex
@AF6VN for dvmega and openspot obviously tried without duplexer, but tried the duplex without the duplexer and with same antenna in rx plus another some meters away in tx, but nothing different... Same poor rx @W8DEX very interesting your experience. Also because of the two antennas are so near each...

Re: Duplex hat to work as simplex
Hi w8dex, Thank you for Your answer, i'm suffering bad rx in duplex, very short range of about 50m with 6cell duplexer and external ant also with high gain setting , but simplex dvmega hat and openspot with right setting , are much better about 1km,same rf chip. So, now i want to try my duplex hat i...

Duplex hat to work as simplex
Hi all, Just for doing some rx comparation, I would like to put my duplex hat in simplex mode. I read something about that some time ago, but i can't find it anymore. There was written in that case only one of the adf7021 (tx OR rx of the duplex) remain in work both for rx and tx, the other one off....

Re: Need help in compiling custom firmware
Hi vk7hse! I'm working with a 6cell duplexer and 7,6mhz of shift.... But the range, in term of meters, is limited from poor receving of the hat much before than the 20mw of transmitter unfortunately. Very close to the "garden of the house" range, tryng to do the village, not pretendig more...

Re: Need help in compiling custom firmware
Thank You vk7hse, And thank You juribeparada also for sure, modifyng firmware for gain option. Made the custom firmware, the last right command have to be: sudo make mmdvm_hs_dual_hat Unfortunately, giving high gain option haven't brought any upgrade in sensitivity and coverage. I'll try vith auto a...

Need help in compiling custom firmware
Hi all, I'm trying to compile a new firmware for my HS_Hat_Dual board, based on 1.4.6 in order to give High receive gain instead of default, with this new variable in this version in config.h to change. I'm a newbie in firmware, and also in Microcontrollers, Arduino and so on unfortunately. The proc...

Having more settings in firmware & Pistar
Reposting of two topics, valid also for these boards, hoping an answer... Sorry and Thank You by KE0FHS » Sun Jun 03, 2018 12:36 pm I've been having some issues with the stability of the BER of my MMDVM_HS Hat hotspot when using DMR recently, and can't get it down to a low enough level. Re: Suggestion for how to enable AFC in ADF7021.h
Hi, I've to add a request following this one. In my opinion, would be very useful to have in Pistar platform, settings for RX also; i.e. in ADF7021 (drag and drop from datasheet): " LNA has two basic operating modes: high gain/low noise mode and low gain/low power mode. To switch between these ...
