Hi, could you send the ebay link?
I just want to compare it with mine.
I also had an older firmware, but it upgraded just fine.
Cheers

Re: Using 2 Pi's running Pi-Star
Hi Eric, Knowing that it is an issue of network, I am wondering if the dvmega are using network broadcasting. It would be nice to see the documentation to see if this is a bug or a feature. In other words, is the firmaware aware of the presence of another dvmega on the net and it shuts down the serv...

Re: Using 2 Pi's running Pi-Star
You probably know this, but you can setup the hotspot as a gateway and have botu DMR+ and BM running on the same box. Also, I think there is something going on with the mastrs list for DMR+. Not sure if this is something that might be affecting your attempts to make the two spots work together. Ther...

Re: Using 2 Pi's running Pi-Star
Hi, I am no expert, but I believe you need to use 2 different DMR IDs if you want to run 2 hotspots at the same time. There is a trick I believe, if you only have one ID, to add extra digits to the ID or something like that. I heard somebody on Tac310 talking about it. But I think your issue might b...

Re: OLED on ZumSpot
If you are using the pi-star image it should not require you to enable the I2C, it should already be done by the os of that image. Maybe you just have a bad OLED. Can you test it with an arduino or with rpi by itself without the hotspot hat? I would suggest and arduino as there already is code sampl...

Re: OLED on ZumSpot
Some OLED displays have SCL and SDA switched. Have you checked the pins on the display to see if they match the holes/pins on the Zumspot?

Re: Duplex hat to work as simplex
The tx/rx frequencies are spaced 5mhz on the UHF band so they should be far apart enough not to create any reciprocal interference. In fact, I have been monitoring activity with a separate radio and there is no interference that affects the hotspot or the radio. Do you have the same type of duplex j...

Re: Duplex hat to work as simplex
I have replaced the original antennas with 2 Nagoya NA-771 and the hotspot is indoor. I get about 1/4 mi in range in a hilly area. I have never tried with an external antenna. Sounds like you might have some other setup issues. I did not have to change anything but the antennas. WIN_jumbospot_771.jp...

Re: Duplex hat to work as simplex
Hi I have a duplex too. I don't remember which one stays on or off, but it should easy enough to test with a dummy load and an antenna. I had it working simplex once, but I have switched back to duplex. What are you trying to do? By the way, I have found it very hard to get any answers out of this f...
