Re: Wifi Network change

How can I get back into the pi-star software so I can correct the WiFi info? Sorry, but sounds like a dumb question.... If the Pi-Star installation is not finding ANY configured WiFi link, it will turn itself into an access point (no internet access) broadcasting an SSID that has "setup" in the nam...

Re: Please help me to see what I am doing wrong....?

Of course there is always the possibility of just using YSF mode in Pi-Star, and giving up on DMR talk groups, instead selecting YSF "rooms" https://www.pistar.uk/ysf_reflectors.php (note that the numbers under the DMR2YSF are for users of DMR radios crossing to YSF).

Re: Please help me to see what I am doing wrong....?

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Expecting a Yaesu System Fusion radio to decode digital packets that have DMR headers.. With the radio set to FM, you are hearing the raw modulation (think of the beeps/whistles that used to be heard from dial-up modems). You probably need to configure Pi-Star ...

Re: AMERICALINK via D-STAR in my PI? (Newbie Question)

Or to be more detailed... It would require an AMBE codec on one side, and an AMBE-2 codec for the other. The digital audio coming from the radio would have to be decoded, passed over to the other, and re-encoded. AMBE codecs are not open-source; manufacturers have to pay license fees to use the code...

Re: can't operate on Reflector 1C in crossmode.

Possibly, I will admit that when I see XLX I must remember to think that it can do multi-protocol but I'm unsure about the re-encode step that is needed. I suppose if the server has an AMBE stick then it can. I'm wondering if someone had cross-linked REF001C onto that XLX (or YSF #whatever) and the...

REF001C is a DStar reflector.

I was confused by the mention of YSF but he seemed to want DMR -> DStar.
http://xlx140.nix.pt/ Appears to be a node that bridges the modes, since the listing shows connections from D-STAR, YSF, and DMR radios. However, no idea regarding the 001C of the OP.

Re: OLED display stops working on Pi Model B

To combat this I got a Raspberry Pi Model B so I could use an Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. I tried transferred the MMDVM hat over to the Model B and works connecting via Ethernet. You'll need to be more precise... I thought the IO header on both models are identical so cannot work out why ...

Re: LCD GPIO Display (no nextion)

Not without some programming. It doesn't require any programming at all, just installing all of the software packages needed to support a desktop GUI. Then you just use a web browser to open the dashboard on the same computer the dashboard server is running on. I was presuming the OP wanted somethi...

Re: LCD GPIO Display (no nextion)

Not without some programming. That display runs the R-Pi X-Window desktop, likely via a framebuffer grab, not maybe directly from X. Note: to my knowledge Pi-Star images do not include or run X-Window, so there is NO graphical user interface natively available. As I understand it, Nextion displays a...
