Re: Echolink & Pistar

Have you read https://forum.pistar.uk/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2709 FM mode is basically local repeater -- the hotspot boards don't digitize analog signals to pass over the network (they expect to receive digital packets that they can just wrap with network headers and send out). Using a repeater ho...

Re: MMDVM restarts everyday at 1:25

Most likely the nightly shutdown to check for updated software.

What time-zone is your R-Pi configured for (my update check appears to have taken place at 08:33; I'm configured for EDT timezone -- which would make it 12:33 UTC)...

Re: Connected to WiFi but can't access Pi-Star dashboard....

I am hoping someone can help me. I recently moved and got a different internet provider. I setup the guest Wi-Fi with the same ID and password I used on the old router for my TGIF Junior Spot. It Connected to the WiFi and started working fine. I put out my call sign and got a response with no probl...

Re: Pi-Star 4.1.14 Internet Connection issue

Sounds like your router may not be doing uPnP (used, as I recall, to set the special ports needed). Standard ports (#s <1024 or so; used by various update mechanisms) are likely handled correctly.

Re: Configuration Update appears to be stuck?

DMR handhelds tend to low cost regardless of brand. Remember, DMR was created as a digital business radio -- used on construction sites, etc. where one either prices cheap enough to replace those that get damaged from drops, etc. or makes gear in the Motorola class which costs lots but might survive...

Re: No dmr audio

Normally you setup a channel to only listen to the single talkgroup you are currently monitoring, so if you have a channel programmed for 3100, and a response comes in from 91, it won't play the audio. In that case you need to change the channel on your radio to one designated for 91. It is possibl...

Re: Patch for upnp syntax

Thanks Andy, I see you've made the variable names a bit more user friendly. One question, are all the $ signs in the daemon commands needed, you seem to have included some of them in the variable definitions. If DAEMON is an environment variable, the $ tells the shell to expand the value. [email protected]...

My HT (TYT MD-380) LED flashes red/green and then I get a beep back.
I suspect we'd need to see the DMR configuration in the Pi-Star admin page, AND the channel configurations in the radio code plug.
