Re: Troubleshooting RF connection to Pi-Star
- Reflashed the card. I downloaded the latest version of Pi-Star, reflashed the card, and fired it up. - Updated Pi-Star. I updated pi-star via SSH to the latest version: Pi-Star:4.1.6 / Dashboard: 20220512 - Updated the modem firmware: HS_Hat:v1.5.2. I am using MMDVM_HS_Dual_Hat (DB9MAT, DF2ET, &a...

Re: DMR2YSF connecting to wrong room
Is there a way to use TGrewrite to mask the difference in FCS Numbers ? If someone has been successful at that, I pray they join in... I don't have a configuration using rewrite rules, but my understanding is that rewrite rules translate BLOCKS of numbers to a different block of numbers. FCS does n...

Re: Sorry, guys, but I'm lost
I'm running a Kenwood D74 into a Pi-Star hotspot. I've been using this rig for a few years on DSTAR and recently decided to try DMR and some of the other options. I got a DMR id and opened a Brandmeister account. FYI, I now realize that I may have screwed up by putting my 7 digit ID (repeater), ins...

Re: Dual Hat / FT-5DR / FTM-400XDR issue
All I can say is what I experienced yesterday during setup. In duplex mode, my 400XD would either not show when transmitting or would show with >10% BER and would not go into Wires-X mode. When I set the hat to simplex, everything works as expected so assumed it didn't like the duplex mode. That BE...

Re: TYT Works, Anytone Doesn't
With the channel set to slot 2 on both radios, and (maybe use a headset on the Tyt to avoid feedback) keying up/speaking into the Anytone, do you hear yourself on the Tyt? If you don't, you may have more significant problems (you may have to try with them configured to something other private call P...

Re: DMR Reflectors - Why?
Please note that, for example, the US BM servers have not allowed Reflectors for some years -- every former reflector exists as a pure talk-group, so there is no reason to use some general (TG9?) group and command it to link to a reflector. I believe the European BM servers are also phasing out refl...

Re: TYT Works, Anytone Doesn't
I'm not sure how either of those would be working. Hotspots typically use SLOT 2, unless you have a duplex (repeater) hat. Those channels are configured for SLOT 1 -- but the log shows the hotspot using Slot 2! Make sure the TalkGroup for Parrot is configured as PRIVATE CALL, not Group Call. Make su...

Re: Auto AP but still on WiFi list
Have you saved ("apply changes") AND rebooted the R-Pi? Making changes on the config page doesn't, I believe, cause changes in active WiFi settings. Auto AP: On Off Note: Reboot Required if changed {If the Auto AP is the default name -- have you confirmed you don't have a neighbor with a h...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'
FWIW: Happened to try out DHCLIENT recently. It appears it can/will inadvertently put the system in permanent RW mode: [email protected](ro):~$ sudo dhclient -v can't create /var/lib/dhcp/dhclient.leases: Read-only file system [email protected](rw):~$ ummmm.... I wonder what it's up to. Just an FYI: bu...

Re: New Interweb Service (Tell me I haven't screwed up)
Telling us the make/model of the gateway would at least give us something to Google... So far the only thing I've found also assumes you are using a smart-phone app (to be downloaded) in order to manage the gateway device), or... https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/web-gateway-user-interface-gu...
