Re: Pi-Star Destination Unreachable.

First thing I'd look at is firewalls on either side, or in the router (you don't state if you are using WiFi on both sides, or cabled to router) Many WiFi routers are often configured to only pass traffic from LAN to WAN and back, and block LAN<>LAN traffic -- a configuration useful for public WiFi ...

Re: Recovering settings from failed SD card

The Pi halts with "Kernel panic - not syncing - Attempted to kill init!" but I can put it in a USB -> SD adaptor and mount it on another Pi with no problem. Is there a way I can recover the Pi-Star settings from the mounted card file system so I don't have to start from scratch? I have wr...

Re: Struggling Like MAD!

Maybe someone who has a DVMega will be able to help. My DV-Mega is mounted to a regular R-Pi3B, so no help there... And none of my 5 R-Pis (2x3B, 2x3B+, 1x4B) has USB/power jack adjacent to the SD-card slot. Off-hand, that configuration is found on at least some of the Orange-Pi models. But I can't...

Re: Struggling Like MAD!

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded the correct image file (4.1.5_21) and flashed it using the Belena software which gives me a "success" on completion. The dvmega is hard wired to my router which picked up the wifi before but won't now. If you've just created a fresh OS image on the...

Re: roadblock with dstar on TH-D74 and TGIF spot

Ok, thanks for the help and advice. I have made some progress. I went to W6GPS utubes and followed it as best as I could. My ThD74 is programmed for a hotspot like a repeater, with cqcqcq MYCAll VE3MRX rpt 1 as VE3MRX B and rpt 2 as VE3MRX G. My hotspot shows the right stuff, as does my dashboard o...

Re: Need help with new TGIF spot

First I wasn't sure about needing a dstar radio for that mode, and I do have one, the kenwood th-d74. There is only one dstar repeater I can hit that has internet access. So that would still be a bonus. And I thought that you could link one dstar repeater to another. Is that wrong. If you haven't d...

Re: Need help with new TGIF spot

The first question is (since you mention DMR): Do you have a D-Star radio? DMR and D-Star are incompatible protocols and you'll need a radio for each mode. Second matter: it is not that common to connect to a /repeater/ using a hotspot. Typically one would activate a /reflector/ that is also active ...

Re: Can I connect to any DSTAR repeater?

Thanks, I have read through and understand the concept, but still having some problems. I will have to spend some more time on it. Tried it from the radio, did not link. Is there a way of trying it from the pi-star interface on the computer? NO... The callsign routing is part of the packet headers ...

Re: DMR TG not found in TGList

Which duration may be reflecting the time it takes for the master databases to be updated, and to get pushed to the R-Pi during the nightly update run.

Re: Using 2 Hotspots (Not at Same Time)

Have you set the Brandmeister hotspot password... and maybe the API passcode too.
