Re: Unable to link to REF 001 C via Pi-Star. IP blocked?

So does no one have any idea how to find and contact the administrators. I've determined that...for some reason despite the fact I don't do DVSwitch (because it looks like open-source violations) and have just a single D-Star hotspot; they have in fact blocked me. All of my traceroutes stop right at...

Re: change wrong port in the Pi-Star firewall?

You just issue the command to have iptables remove the rule; then crrate the proper one.

Re: WiresX Passthrough operational questions...

Is there a tutorial anywhere about how to "run WiresX Passthrough" mode? Like stated; WIRES-X is a proprietary closed system. You can only access a WIRES-X room on a YSFReflector if the operator of the reflector has the equipment to provide a bridge. WIRES-X Passthrough mode however refers to the "...

That looks like a repository issue the devs will have to fix.

Re: Static IP Address in Pi_Star

You have a more significant problem... 192.168.1.* and 192.168.2.* (in original "private LAN class" usage) are two disjoint networks. If you did force the R-Pi to use 192.168.1.* on both systems, it likely would not route through the portable -- which is considering "its" local nodes to be on 192.1...

Re: Static IP Address in Pi_Star

My suggestion is to see if your router has the ability to set static assignments in its DHCP table. This way PiStar uses DHCP at all tines, but your main router will ensure it has the same IP.

Re: Server

You typically want to pick a master server closest to you. Like I live on the east coast, Master 3101 being in NYC is the closest master.

The UK BM Master is 2341. So you'd pick BM_United_Kingdom_2341.

Re: MobileGPS

I have exactly one GPS module and it's an Adafruit Pi hat.

That being said...I could probably make it in to a USB module with an Arduino.

Re: MobileGPS

Andy, what USB GPS is recommended? Will any $10 GPS from eBay work? Which one are you testing with? W8DSB Thats a great question, I'm still testing with it so I dont have the greatest of answers yet. How is it getting GPS data? Is it just probing the serial port for NEMA messages? I did something k...
