Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Thanks so much for your contribution! I’m glad to see more activity on this thread since the last time I raised the issue. I hope others can add to this so we can get a good idea of how widespread the issue is. I would have to think that there is a large population that is experiencing it, my fear i...

Ok that’s what I thought. Hopefully Andrew can weigh in here as to what’s going on.

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Out of curiosity have you rebooted since disabling AutoAP?

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Hello, I’ve noticed that there’s a regression of this issue in Pi-Star 4.1 RC3 to RC5. I know there was a proposed workaround initially that didn’t work, then it seemed like the issue was fixed in the 3.x days with a patch to AutoAP but it’s back. Big time! I need to try disabling AutoAP to see if t...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

I also disabled Auto AP mode on my 3B running 4.0 RC3 and it is still stuck in read/write mode. I installed ‘lsof’ to show which files were held open preventing the mount going back to read-only and the list was pretty long! I am going to reimage the card and see if I get different results. If not, ...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

I actually got in touch with the guy. He told me that what I heard wasn’t entirely accurate. He got fed up with the fact that there was no resolution to the issue so he ended up building his own image. He refused to use Pi-Star with his repeaters for this reason alone. I guess when you’re using it t...

Re: Pi-Star Remote

Is there an equivalent for GETIP with DMR or any of the other modes? Any plans to add additional capabilities? Being able to get an audio or text report on what network(s) you’re connected to, talkgroups/reflectors you’re connected to would be great! Thanks again for everything you do! Sent from my ...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Has the root cause for this been identified yet? This is actually a VERY serious issue! If the file system is left in a read/write state, it significantly increases the potential for file system corruption if the device isn’t properly shut down. Tanking the power cable is one of the worst things you...
