YSF "service Not Started" and changing rooms

Two issues.
The first: When changing rooms, the new room you are connected to does not display on the reflector window on the hotspot.

The second: After changing rooms, the YSF Net goes red and the YSF network displays "service not started" It takes several minutes for everything to clear up and go ...

Don't think this is a hostname issue, more likly that your browser doesn't like the file being sent - what browser are you using?


I also noticed when doing a pistar os update, it can't find what I named may hotspot either, so I don't think it's a browser issue. I did try with both edge ...

Anytime you change the host "mane", you need to (almost) immediately reboot to propagate that change throughout the rest of the system before you do anything else (like backing up configurations). The errors you got (e.g. "sudo: unable to resolve host pi-star-bm: Name or service not known ...

Backing up configuration does not give you a file to download. It displays a bunch of gibberish. I use a custom host name for my hotspots if this helps. I call it pi-star-bm.

Today noticed one of my hotspots had an IP address of 192.254.239.101, instead of its normal 192.168... IP address. A power cycle corrected the issue.

Same here. I scrapped 4.3

What do you want to see added?

The base vers. of software/ modes thats used in pistar hasnt been changed much for months.

The overnight updates bring you host changes and background tweaks to keep relevant, so agn ill ask what do you want to see added??

Adding stuff, just for the sake of ...
