Re: Pi-Star Transmit Falls Asleep After 5 mins in Duplex
Finally figured this issue out and can now reproduce it at will. It wasn't the gateway type, and it wasn't my transition to duplex. In a nutshell if network traffic comes in shortly after an RF transmission the rftime timer will continue running and timeout (behind the scenes), which prevents the ne...

Re: Pi-Star Transmit Falls Asleep After 5 mins in Duplex
Ok I couldn't let it go :) I found an old config and did a compare on the configs. (don't know why I didn't think of doing this sooner) I found that the gatewayType had changed from 1 to 0 in the expert config. A little research show that the settings for that value are as follows 0 repeater, 1 hots...

Re: Pi-Star Transmit Falls Asleep After 5 mins in Duplex
Update to this in case anyone else has the issue. I played with a number of settings to see what affect they had. I was sure a 10 min hang time would delay the problem for 10 mins but it didn't do anything. Pi-star would fail to rout the audio to the reflector and the TX radio after 5 mins just like...

Pi-Star Transmit Falls Asleep After 5 mins in Duplex
Hello, I just added a duplexer and additional radio to my pi-star/RB-STM32 d-star hotspot and changed the mode to Duplex. Everything seems to be working as it should except for one quirk. If the hotspot sits for 5 mins (almost exactly), the first transmission doesn't pass the audio to the reflector ...

Re: Hotspot to Hotspot on D-Star
Finally got this working! Turns out that I can't use the same call on different hotspots (with different modules). When I would try to connect from B to F all I would get is " Loopback link to KK7BYQ F was refused" we entered my son's call on the F hotspot all of the sudden it started work...

Re: Hotspot to Hotspot on D-Star
Couple more questions. Does it matter which host file I add to?
When I add to the host file in root and run HostFilesUpdate.sh. Should I see the entry in the corresponding host file in "/usr/local/etc"?
I appreciate the help.

Re: Hotspot to Hotspot on D-Star
I thought that is what I did. I added KK7BYQ {IPADDRESS} to DPlus_Hosts.txt. And then tried to link as you said KK7BYQBL. Here is some logs that might be helpful M: 2022-04-19 21:33:42: Link command from KK7BYQ F to KK7BYQ B issued via UR Call by KK7BYQ M: 2022-04-19 21:33:42: DCS connect to unknown...

Re: Hotspot to Hotspot on D-Star
I'm hoping someone can help. I have tried to make this work and I just can't get two hotspots connected. Here are some details. I have two D-star hotspots, module B (5 watt remote site) and module F on my local network, both using my call sign. I would like to connect the "B" hotspot to th...
