Re: Tetra

Not the bandwidth as such. TETRA uses OFDM which is a mixture is a linear mode which requires different TX an RX hardware as well as ultra-linear amplifiers. It's not possible with current MMDVM hardware.

Re: The original

Hi Gary

I ordered them from a company in California over three years ago. They have since been replaced by the FC302/D which people have had problems with. You may just as well get an old Motorola GM340 or GM360 as they seem to work well, and cheaper too.

Re: MMDVM modem STM32L476RGT6 MCU board with my Zum

The STM32 modem support for the M4 series is specific to the STM32F446RE. It may work with other STM32 M4 chips but it's not guaranteed.

The original

This is a photograph of the original MMDVM which was used for all development work. It includes a UMP in the picture which had only just been created, a few days before. The Arduino Due and ZUM modem board have now been replaced by a board from Toufik F0DEI based on the Teensy 3.6.

Re: Monitoring two modes at once...

The MMDVM (remember Pi-Star is a front end for the MMDVM which does the hard work) takes whichever modes packet comes in first and is decoded correctly. So it's a simple first come first served.
