Re: pistar voice too loud

Hello pi-star voice ("you are connected to XLX ...") is way louder than the QSOs. Is there a way to decrease pistar announcements level only ? thanks, Julien I have noticed the same problem with the announcements in the D-Star mode (I assume that this is also is the case in your situation...

Re: Nextion display causes problems in C4FM mode

I have set it to 9600 Bd (ON7LDS L3) and I have changed it to 115200 Bd (ON7LDS L3 HS). The problem exists in both cases....
Btw, I do not use the ON7LDS Nextion driver which you can add to Pi-Star, so I have limited functionality (for me that's ok).

Re: Nextion display causes problems in C4FM mode

I am still struggling with this 'audio-drop' problem that I have submitted in this forum about a year ago. The Pi-Star version has been updated / upgraded to 4.1.2 (dashboard version 20200528) in the mean time, and I did not notice any improvement. In addition I have connected a second 5 V power sup...

Re: MMDVMHost RF and NET hangtime configuration

The exact file is /etc/mmdvmhost. That's the one I was looking for, tnx! So in the mean time I have found a file with some comments added to every line: [General] Callsign=F1ZZZ Timeout=180 # Transmitter timeout in seconds. Default is: 120s Duplex=1 # Is this station Simplex or Duplex. DVMega is si...

Re: MMDVMHost RF and NET hangtime configuration

Dennis, thanks for your response. The individual timers for the different modes are not applicable for single-mode as you indicate (makes sense)... so I set them to '0' (to be sure). I cannot find the exact file for the MMDVMHost configuration either.... I also looked for 'MMDVM.ini' with SSH, but n...

Re: MMDVMHost RF and NET hangtime configuration

Can anyone help?? I have searched the web (keyword mmdvmhost) but I cannot find any useable information how to set the timers. In addition: can I just set all timers in the main configuration page to '"0" without causing problems (for myself or others)? I am only using single-mode hotspots...

MMDVMHost RF and NET hangtime configuration

I amwondering why the mmdvmhost.ini file contains duplicate values for the RF and NET hangtimes. The first lines (line 5 and 6) of the mmdvm.ini file have 300 s defined for RFModeHang and RFModeHang which is visible in the EXPERT-MMDVMHost menu. In addition, all the different modes have their 'own' ...

YSF Link Manager added to dashboard

Hello Andrew, I have made the update/upgrade to get the most recent version 4.1.1. I have noticed that the admin dashboard has a new entry bar (YSF Link Manager) which is very useful for changing reflectors similar to D-Star! This is a great addition which save quite some time (not having to change ...

Re: Nextion display causes problems in C4FM mode

At first, thanks for your response. I have tried both of your suggestions, but it does not help: I have set the MMDVM display type to 'None' in the configuration (so everything is still connected). The Nextion display returns to the 'static' standby display as a result. At the same moment the dashbo...

Nextion display causes problems in C4FM mode

I am using Nextion displays in combination with 3 of my my hotspots (DVMega with RaspberryPi model 2 and 3). I have 2 x 3.5 inch and 1 x 3.2 inch enhanced models with the model 8 Globe screen images from Rob PD0DIB (without the ON7LDS drivers which I do not need). It works fine in the modes DMR and ...
