Thanks for the reply. In the end, I reverted to the old version (1.4.3), as none of the newer ones were working. It seems to work OK again. I put that down to the "that's what happens when you buy the super-low-budget no-name ebay edition" tax.

I'm trying to find some kind of firewall log (attempted connections etc) and can't seem to find one in /var/log. Does such a log exist? If not, can I start one or would that cause problems?
