pistar voice too loud

Hello
pi-star voice ("you are connected to XLX ...") is way louder than the QSOs.
Is there a way to decrease pistar announcements level only ?
thanks, Julien

bug report: relink function / display

Bug report:
Using pi-star 4.1.6
Using DMRgateway with XLX as master server, when the "relink" function triggers, module is changed but the "DMR Master" display is not and remains on the old module (or reflector).

Re: dmrgateway commands by command line

Such feature would be quite useful. Sometimes on simplex repeaters, as users don't allow for some pause before they PTT, it's impossible to unlink and change module. and as the admin console does not allow any action on the dmrgateway either, the only way to disconnect is to reboot pistar. User educ...

dmrgateway commands by command line

Hi,
Is there a way to send commands to DMRgateway using command line ?
somethink like "sudo pistar-link unlink" for the dmrgateway

My goal is to change/disconnect XLX Master Module used by DMRgateway (same as sending "64000" private call by RF)

thanks, Julien

Re: dmrgateway TX to YSF ?

Thanks for this solution. It means that the (few) users who connect using C4FM or D-STAR will not be connected by default to the XLX module A but will have to make the connection manually. Is this what you propose? I can set it up that way but it loses ease of use. Isn't it surprising to connect to ...

Re: dmrgateway TX to YSF ?

OK thanks. This behaviour does not seem to be optimal, but it's also possible that I don't understand exactly how it works.. In my area, the majority of the relay users are using DMR, and only a few users are in C4FM or D-STAR. So I would like the relay to send DMR by default when it is idle and rec...

Re: dmrgateway TX to YSF ?

Thanks for reply. I can confirm that pistar is configured with DMR, DSTAR and YSF modes, but no xxx2yyy mode. if I activate only the DMR mode, obviously pistar will send only DMR on the air On the other hand if I activate the three modes, it seems random. Sometimes it sends DMR, sometimes YSF, based...

dmrgateway TX to YSF ?

Hi all, I'm using pi star 4.1.6 and I'm using DMRgateway to auto connect to a XLX reflector, module A. When I connect using MMDVM to this reflector and I PTT in module A on the software, pi-star will TX in YSF mode: is this a desired behavior? It looks like what comes from the DMRgateway XLX link is...

Re: random interruptions in DMR reception

OK, I found the cause of the problem. It has nothing to do with pi-star, but I think it can be useful for other OMs. The problem was with a Motorola GM-340 connected to pi-star. In DMR, the TDMA signal ends up crashing the radio, which then reboots and loses signal. Workarround: change the "Con...

random interruptions in DMR reception

Hello I experience random interruptions in DMR reception. The interruption may occur after 10 or 20 seconds of PTT, sometimes more. I notice that it seems to happen more often at 18.4 seconds, for some reason. What is strange is that the BER is always less than 1. M: 2023-01-21 20:11:51.176 DMR Slot...
