Re: v4.2.1 / v4.3.0 Nextion field mapping?
For a bit of clarity - where Pistar is should be writing the screenlayout >2 t8 : talkgroup name TS2 field, it is actually writing the values for DMR t0 : src1 id / call / TA Where it should be writing the t9 : talkgroup name TS1 value, it writes the t2 : src2 id / call / TA value So it writes the ...

Re: v4.2.1 / v4.3.0 Nextion field mapping?
Have you considered copying the NextionDriver module in 4.1.6 (/usr/local/bin/NextionDriver) to the 4.2.1/4.3.0 images and seeing if that changes anything? (remember to make backups of the effected module). There are at least three variants of the driver I'm seeing on my images: sized 53292, 55276, ...

Re: Hotspot can not hear the radio
Weird things can and will happen when you try to run TWO handhelds and a hotspot all on the same frequencies SIMULTANEOUSLY. From the video, it looks like you have managed to create the classic loop/feedback situation.
Try running with only ONE handheld active/on at a time, not both.

Re: 2.4 or 5ghz ?
Generally speaking, Pi's will connect to the best/strongest signal/channel. You can probe your system's status with these commands: iwlist wlan0 channel sudo iw dev wlan0 scan 2>&1 | grep -e "SSID:\|associate\|signal:" | sed "/associated/ {N;s/BSS.*\n\(.*\)/\1 */g}" | sed &qu...

Re: Pi-Star 4.2.1 Upgrade
Yes. The 4.1.8 version (running under the Buster version of PiOS) can not be update/upgraded to the 4.2.1 version (running under the Bullseye version) - you must re-image.

Re: Incorrect time and date
You did not indicate which version of Pi-Star image you're running here and what hardware it's running on. It looks like you've got several problems going on here. But my pi-star is stuck on GMT or UTC even though my pi is on BST For starters, let's see what time zone your system thinks it in: sudo ...

Re: 4.3.0 Beta feedback
Out of curiosity, what results do you get for these commands?
Code: Select all
ls -la /dev/ttyAM*
Code: Select all
sudo systemctl status nextiondriver.service
Code: Select all
grep -shie "NextionDriver: " {/var/log/syslog.1,/var/log/syslog}

Re: raspberry pi with ssd
DId you modify the Pi-Star image according to the instructions given above BEFORE you transferred it to an SSD? The modifications required to boot from non-microSD cards must be applied on a booted microSD card image before cloning the image to a different kind of device, regardless of whether that ...
