Re: Digital Repeater

Nice article. Question: why did you cross out the firewall ports section? I need to revisit it but I mainly scratched it out because uPnP takes care of most all of the port forwarding for you if you have it enabled and implemented properly. However it can sometimes cause problems when stations need...

Re: DMR Gateway for a dumb smart person

I cant thank y'all enough for taking the time to reply to this thread, but i'm still hoping to get some configuration help for this. I was hoping to leave Brandmeisters operation from a repeater/dual hotspot standpoint business as usual while enabling TG6 for XLX. If someone has this working, what i...

Re: DMR Gateway for a dumb smart person

Hi Kevin! Thank you so much for your reply. I am using DMR to access DMRGateway through a repeater/dual hotspot. So what you are saying then is, in Brandmeisters connection, I would HAVE to use TG 9 to talk (just like using TG6 for XLX) and would use a different TG to change talk groups? Meaning for...

DMR Gateway for a dumb smart person

Hey all! For the life of me I am having the hardest time wrapping my head around rewrite rules in dmrgateway. I have tried several variation of the config and have not been able to achieve what im hoping will work, and that is simultaneously: - Connect to an XLX server on any timeslot using TG6. Loc...

PSA: Only use your cellphone connection as an absolute last resort

Hey all, I wanted to make a small PSA. Hotspots are great and easy to use and allow everyone to enjoy all things digital voice. However, when using them, please be sure to use a wired connection when possible and avoid cellphone connections unless you have no other means. On the backend, digital voi...

Re: SSID: Pi-Star-Setup, invalid password

Also, I am using IOS devices to try this, it looks like either a bug or a feature in not connecting to ad-hoc networks via apple gear. The same goes with Android now apparently. It wont connect to ad-hoc networks for "security"

SSID: Pi-Star-Setup, invalid password

Hey all,

I am using a zumspot that was working for a long time. Now I cant seem to get the wifi to get setup. New SD image boots, the SSID is presented, but I cant connect to it. It keeps telling me wrong password.
I have tried 3.4.15 and 3.4.16.

Re: New images fix Auto AP issues

What if it doesnt? Im not sure of the previous wifi issues, but i cant get a new install to connect to pi-star-setup. I have tried 3.4.15 and 3.4.16 and when i put the SD card in, boot the zumspot, I see the ad-hoc SSID, put in the password 'raspberry' it keeps telling me wrong password and simply w...
