DMR User Sending a Beacon to TG

Greetings friends, A DMR user has been transmitting (what I think might be) a single data block beacon about every 3 minutes when he's connected to Brandmeister talk group 31075 which I monitor continuously. He's using Pi-Star and an Ailunce HD1 handheld. Upon receiving his data block, it causes my ...

Blacklist DMR Callsign?

Greetings,

Is it possible to blacklist (block) a callsign (or DMR ID) coming from Brandmeister to Pi-Star so the callsign is effectively ignored and won’t cause Pi-Star to transmit?

Thank you and 73,

John

Syslog Full of Failed Service Starts

Is it normal behavior to see the pistar-watchdog.service attempting to start disabled modes every few minutes all day long? This is filling the syslog with thousands of these entries. See brief example below. I have two different Pi-Star hotspots both installed from a fresh Pi-Star image. They both ...

Manual Update Halted By Question

I ran a manual "sudo pi-star update" command via SSH today and the script halted with the following text displayed: Configuration file '/etc/php5/fpm/pool.d/www.conf' ==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation. ==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version. What would you like ...

No it has not. Been bashing my head into a wall since I recieved it. Wishing I knew about the MMDVM_HS_Hat now, would've bought that instead.
Maybe it's time to ask the seller for a replacement... sounds like you may have received a defective unit.

Re: Transmit indicator drop out

Boy Tom, sorry but I can't think of anything that could cause that behavior. I don't have either of those devices to run tests.

Are you running the latest firmware on your Nano-Spot?

Re: Transmit indicator drop out

Hi Tom,

What mode, what hotspot type, and what brand model HT are you using?

What TX indicator? The one on the Pi-Star web console, the hotspot, or HT?

Thanks,

John
