Re: ft991A receive audio
My experience is that the FT991A probably has some of the best C4FM audio. In about 100% if the cases poor audio is caused by the transmitting station. Once the signal is generated, nothing can change the quality or characteristics until it gets to the receiver. You may be hearing analog stations wh...

Re: WiresX Passthrough operational questions...
Just a small correction. ALL Yaesu radios capable of Fusion are able to issue WiRES-X commands. Not just the advanced radios with GPS and larger displays.

Re: YSF FCS Reflector -> WiresX via FTM-100 in PDN Mode Issues
WiRES-X will drop transmissions that do not comply with the published Yaesu specification. The data being dropped going from HS to WiRES-X will most likely occur if the HS station that is transmitting is NOT using a Fusion radio. DMR transmissions only carry audio whereas Fusion contains callsign, G...

SelfOnly Keeps getting set to '1'
Found another bug in /var/www/dashboard/admin/configure.php In making adjustments trying to fix the problem in a previous post, SelfOnly keeps getting set to 1 when I did not explicitly make the change. The configure.php file tries to apply logic to when SelfOnly should be set. It should only be set...

Re: Received a NAK to the SET_CONFIG [SOLVED]
Well, I found the answer to my problem. There is a bug in the Pi-star software that changed DUPLEX from 0 to 1 in /etc/mmdvmhost whenever there is a difference between the Rx and Tx frequency. I suppose someone was thinking that only a person with a duplex board would do this. WRONG!!! Don't need a ...

Re: How to reconnect a YSF room with a linux command line?
You can't do it from the command line unless you're willing to write a script. The parameters are contained in initialization files located in /etc. Change the init file then start the service.

Re: Display corruption?
Well, thank-you for those links. Glad to see you could contribute something. Unfortunately the poor documentation and lack of resources makes it difficult to identify such sources. I'll guarantee you that if you go on Amazon, like most people might, you're likely to get the SSD1106 chip. To be clear...

Received a NAK to the SET_CONFIG
Using Pi-star, I've been getting a "Received a NAK to the SET_CONFIG command from modem" error whilst trying to run Pi-star with different input and output frequencies. Here's what I have learned: 1. The problem occurs in the YSF mode. Don't know about other modes. I have Self=0 and Remote...

Re: Display corruption?
The download was provided as a community service so that people would NOT have to: 1. Install the software to build C and C++ programs. 2. Install the necessary libraries. 3. Obtain the source code off of Github 4. Build the code. 5. Test it. (I actually test things I do.) The point is *ALL* the inf...

Re: Display corruption?
You need to set OLED type to 3 for the 0.96" and 6 for the 1.3". You won't see the driver problem if you have a 0.96" display with the SSD1306 controller. Believe me, I played around with ALL the settings a lot before I downloaded the tools to build the library from source code! BTW, ...
