Restore backup from existing 4.1.7 to fresh 4.2.1?
I'm hoping to update my hotspot from a Pi-Zero W to a Pi-Zero 2, so I thought that I might update to Pi-Star release 4.2.1 at the same time. Can I use a backup from my 4.1.17 Pi Zero (.zip file set) directly to configure the Zero 2 after doing a fresh SD card burn and install of 4.2.1? Thanks, David...

Repeated request to select modem - file missing or corrupt.
Every time I go into the configuration menu I get a request to select the modem. This can happen on a daily basis. It appears that if you have D-Star selected, there is a file: /etc/dstar-radio.mmdvmhost which is either missing or corrupt (see: https://groups.io/g/PiStar/message/566 on the Pi-Star g...

Re: Upgrade from 4.0.0.RC4
I use the full image just as normal, it's just that I need to add quite a few things afterwards - mostly for monitoring but also to add a GPS/PPS for better timekeeping. All done and dusted now.

Re: Upgrade from 4.0.0.RC4
Thanks. The OS upgrade is a pain, as I have many other things on that RPi which therefore need to be re-installed (SNMP, MRTG monitoring, CPU temperature, SAMBA, NTP configuration, etc.).

Upgrade from 4.0.0.RC4
Any chance of upgrading to 4.1.0 (release) without having to re-install?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Using both DMR and DMR+ on one MMDVM hotspot
Thanks for both remarks, Andrew. In the end I decided against using the gateway and having both DMR and DMR+ on the some hotspot, primarily as I already have a DMR hotspot and don't want to have the issues of the hotspot being occupied by DMR+ (or YSF or D-Star) when I want to use DMR! I'll see how ...

Using both DMR and DMR+ on one MMDVM hotspot
Could anyone please point me to a configuration guide to using both DMR and DMR+ on a hotspot? Background: I've tried configuring a second HS (on a different frequency) for DMR+ and while I could hear stations I couldn't get the HS to respond to my own RF! Yes, the handie was emitting RF. So I'm won...
