Hi Andrew, Well to start these are Neo-Pi (Nano-Pi) and Orange-Pi SBC's not RPis. With version 4.1.8 they both communicate with mmdvmhost fine with the UART speed of 500000 baud. However, with version 4.2.x they do not.
The RPi 3B+'s I have communicate with mmdvmhost fine with a UART speed 460800 ...
I have several mmdvm repeaters on the air connected to recycled commercial gear. I am not new to mmdvm's and have been running them since before Pi-Star came about. Of the mmdvm repeaters 3 are MTR2000's with two flavors of processors (Neo-Pi and Orange Pi). Recently I upgraded firmware on the ...
Hi Andrew, I kinda figured that might be the issue. I believe I read that you needed to have the faster data rate for FM and that 115200 would not work. So... I guess I must recompile at 115200 verses the 406800 required for FM. Bummah
Is there a migration plan to update mmdvmhost to the latest? I ...
I have a mmdvmhost communications problem. Upgraded my ZUMRadio v 0.9 STM32DV446 (HAT) board compiled on the RPI 3+ without error and uploaded to the processor without error. The date of the previous firmware was 2017 because this was a spare board for the dozen or so repeaters I had built and ...
Hi Andy, I have both ports of Pi-Star running now on non-RPi SBC. When looking at the beta repo I noticed you have a script to update the kernel. Is that a requirement? My non-Raspberry Pis are running 5.10.4-sunxi/sun8i based Pi Clone & 5.10.12-sunxi/sun8i based Pi Clone kernels. What do you ...
Good Evening Andy, I have been running 4.1.4 beta on my Orange Pi Zero for almost a week and it seems to run just fine. The only caveat is that my repeater only runs straight DMR bridged to a c-Bridge.
I am going to attempt upgrading the firmware my Neo powered mmdvm this weekend and will report on ...
Andy, Any chance that after you iron the bugs out of version 4.xx on the nano/neo Pis that you will port to the Orange Pi? I and I assume many others have custom built boards for MTR2000's/MTR3000 repeaters or it's European equivalent that have Orange Pi SBC in them. I have 3 of them in service ...
