Failure to restart after nightly updates.

F5ZLR (DMR) running 4.1.2 often requires a manual reboot, as the dashboard indicates it freezes after the nightly update. Likewise this morning I had to manual reboot it as there had been no traffic since the update (Normally around 03:30 ECT). Its counterpart F5ZLW (DMR) also on 4.1.2 has no issues...

Re: New Overlay for DMRGateway - welcome your comments

My problem was not DMR-Gateway related as it happens. When programming a channel in the data management block (in a Tytera/Retevis CPS) do not under any circumstances check the box labelled "Private Call Confirmed" - Quite counter-intuitive it seems, but a conversation I had earlier today concerning...

Re: All Private Calls failing

This is a micro-repeater - Dual Hot-Spot, However I have resolved the situation. All Private Calls failing

Initially working Gateway where private calls were failing, I reset the hot spot back to BrandMeister as the only Master and All Private calls still fail. This is an extract of the log when I transmit a private call. Any ideas please? Starting logging, please wait... M: 2020-06-12 17:12:09.510 Downl...

Re: New Overlay for DMRGateway - welcome your comments

Andy - Still having issues with ALL private calls getting the refused tone. Other than that everything else passes exactly as I wish. Can you cast your eye over this config please. Re: New Overlay for DMRGateway - welcome your comments

I was fascinated with this from the outset, to have access to both networks with minimum of fiddling. However it does require thinking outside the box. I went down the route of three TGRewrite rules for IPSC2, AND ing 1-3 digit talk-groups with 8000, 4 digit talk groups with 80000, and 5 digits talk...

Re: Building your own MMDVM repeater

If I can be of any assistance I have built and manage three homebrew DMR repeaters with the different modems. F5ZLR can be found on qrz.com as will my articles on my own page F5VMR.
Happy building.

Re: 4000 activity shows on dashboard when not connected

If you put TG9 as the only channel item in RxGroup list, and assign this to each of your channels (you don't need any other tg in the list), then each time you use tg4000 on slot 2 you will hear the server response "Not Connected". You need not concerned yourself with any other activity on tg4000, a...

Duplicate Transmissions on both slots Ver:4 RC:?

In the last few days there have been phenomena where traffic on one slot has been transposed on to the other slot. At first I thought this was a BrandMeister error but logically this could not happen. Firstly GB7TH - Matt M0LCK was in QSO with a colleague on TG9 Slot 1 throughout extended periods ov...

Re: Prevent UA Talkgroups

Matt - I covered this in my article in my Blog. where I have selected 8000 to be superimposed onto the real talk groups for IPC2. The point of BrandMeister was that it was an open structure that all talk groups can be available on either slot, but Sysops were the ultimate power in what could be or c...
