Update. I've given up for today. No sign of the FT5 on the HS. Although it does appear in MMDVMCAL.
As YSF header in the BER function. So the HS is seeing it.
I've adjusted th TXOffset from -290 when the FT70 no longer works and +300 when the FT70 input is distorted.
Tomorrow's another day
Sorry to be a nuisance Andrew. First error. I'm not looking in the right place :( I should be in SSH? I can get into SSH but then I'm stuck. Considering when I started in computing everything was command line, I'm ashamed of myself. I blame age and a "need to know" attitude. So can you point me ...
Thanks Andrew, I'll try that today.
It's just that with all the radios I have used via Pi-Star, none have needed any 'fettling' to get started.
So no experience with that area.
I'm sure this must have been covered before but all I can find is successes with Yaesu FT5 radios! I have a new FT5 and have set it up exactly as existing FT70 which works OK. After lots of hours trying all the suggestions I can find on the internet I'm no further forward.
Sorted. Well at least I have the the Pi reconnected to the outside world!
It's surprising how quickly I miss it when it stops!
Still got the "new version" reminders at top of screen.
No is the answer Eric, in my experience. I have just tried an UPDATE and lost contact with the Pi.
Guess I will have to rewrite the card
Following the yellow banner at the top of the screen told me that I had the most recent version, 4.1.4.
