Source entry point on dash
How difficult is it to obtain the source entry point info to display on the dash? There are times I would like to see where a station is entering the network usually to get a better idea of why there is some sort of issue with the signal. I know it is visible on the BM last heard page, but then that...

DMO TDMA simplex repeater
Folks, I am trying to figure out how to set up and MMDVM board to do a DMO TDMA repeater. These devices are used in the commercial world to extend the reach of handhelds and provide extended coverage where a full sized duplex repeater is not needed. They are a simplex device frequency wise. The devi...

Network ready signal
Folks, In my travels I at times find that I am on the repeater which is functioning locally but has no connection to the master. As far as I can see the only way to do a quick test is to dial up the parrot and give it a try. Seems it would be interesting if there was a way to have a softswitch which...

Re: Tone when DMR Master unavailable
I agree on this one. My quick check is to jump over to the parrot as I move from repeater to repeater. That concept would avoid having to do so, no tone you are good. Tone... No link.

Re: Hotel Ethernet Port
I have to travel a lot, I have found that I can call the hotel IT numbers and tell them I have headless devices that need to be able to get on the network. I give them my room number and they always try to get me on the network. 99% of the time they do get it done but every once in a while there is ...

Re: Tether tablet to MMDVM NOT MMDVM to tablet
I think I have figured it out, I just need to make sure that tethering is turned on as the tablet is going to tether TO the Pi-Star device. I think that it was automatically connecting when it did not find and RF path, for whatever reason. Now I just need to turn on tethering when I plug the tablet ...

Re: Tether tablet to MMDVM NOT MMDVM to tablet
All good, but I am trying to figure out why at times the tablet with get an IP address over the USB link to the pi, that way I do not need to worry about anymore bits and pieces in this. If I could make it always work that way tablet links to raspberry pi over the USB link then I would not have to w...

Re: Tether tablet to MMDVM NOT MMDVM to tablet
By way the IP address the tablet picks up is 192.168.50.x so it is being assigned
by the Pi-Star device just as though it was over WiFi.

Re: Tether tablet to MMDVM NOT MMDVM to tablet
Folks, Got very busy with family things and let this get off of the radar. Here is what I have: MMDVM repeater controller. Samsung 10.1" tablet, trying to remember what rev of Android. I think it is 4.x but not sure what the x is. I am out of town and cannot look at it now. At times when I plug...

Re: Tether tablet to MMDVM NOT MMDVM to tablet
Has anyone given this thought? I have a tablet I would like to connect to the MMDVM board in this manner, but as I pointed out in the original post it does not always work. I am not sure why.
