Re: PiStar-Remote with DMRGateway PassALLTG rule not working
It's been my experience that Pi-Star Remote responds to PRIVATE calls, not GROUP calls. So the rewrite rules which handle talkgroups are not applicable here. Proof: I have two hotspots (Pi Zero and PI-3B) each running DMRGateway, both with 5 networks, both running Pi-Star-Remote, both responding pro...

Re: DMR to TGIF not working
Just a guess, but make certain the TGIF password you're using for that stanza is the one generated under "User Security" on the TGIF website (IE "Hotspot Security Key"), NOT the one you use with your callsign to log into the website. If you are using that long (22 characters, I t...

Re: TGIF in Expert DMR GW mode - to prime or not to prime?
Hi Mark, Although both addresses currently resolve to the TGIF server properly, understand that there is no longer a "prime" server or "legacy" server. It's just the "TGIF" server now. So all you really need to use is Address=tgif.network in the config file along with y...

Re: Quadophonical Hotspot
Has anyone have success with more than 2 DMR networks in their Pi-Stars? Indeed yes. I run DMRGateway with XLX, Brandmeister, DMR+, DMR2YSF, TGIF, and two other networks on two hotspots (a "Jumbospot" PI-Zero and a "TGIF-Spot" PI-3B) with no difficulties whatsoever. Both are com...

Re: FreeDMR
Make sure you don't include any of the comment lines (IE Any line that starts with a #) and remove any other comments within lines. Pi-Star does not parse them correctly and it ends up corrupting the entire file. So, specifically from the example you posted, you would remove this line: #PC for Refle...

Re: Will TGIF Prime become a DMR master?
I would imagine that the answer to that will be (and should be): It won't. Why? Because once the Prime (currently in beta) server becomes the one (and only) TGIF server, the existing entry in the DMR Master list will be the only one needed (and used). The DNS will simply be (re)pointed so that anyth...

Re: Prime.tgif.network static TG
Prime is only temporary. Once that server becomes the official TGIF server, the prime designation will go away. So. It really is a nonfactor. I disagree. Since the "prime server" will become the official TGIF server, whether or not this method of setting a "start up" talkgroup w...
