Re: Raspberry Pi 4

Backuo of CCS is a big one for me. I run a different Hotspot for each mode and monitor each dashboard on a big screen. I have memorized the color combination for each mode. Really would not want to reinvent the wheel every time I burn a new image.

Just ranting

Re: Raspberry Pi 4

Did the Beta get pulled. I got my Pi 4 and was hoping to have something to play with.

Re: YSF2DMR mode not working

I too have the same problem. YSF2DMR is not Green, it is greyed out. When I enter my DMR ID and append a suffix, the suffix disappears after the save. Maybe a new SD Card is in order, but then others seem to have the same problem. I am also having issues getting my radio to link to the Hotspot (i.e ...

Re: Bridging Wires-X to YSF

I have been fooling around with this problem for 6 months or so. I was going to ask what firmware your HRI-200 has but I do not believe it makes a difference. The HRI-200 will only allow you to access Wires-X Nodes/Rooms. If you substitute a Duplex MMDVM board for the HRI-200, then you can only acce...

Re: YSF2DMR and DMR2YSF

I am not sure it is possible at the moment. No, I haven't had any success. I finally settled on YSF since it does YSF2DMR, YSF2P25,YSF2NXDN and plain YSF. I set up a separate Hotspot for DM and DMR2YSF, etc. At the moment a separate hotspot for each radio (DMR, Fusion, D-Star, etc) seems the only re...

Re: DSTAR<>DMR,Fusion transcoding

I think Rob has a point. I realize that some Hotspots that run Pi-Star will not handle a lot of compute intensive tasks (i.e Pi Zero, etc), but I think he has the vision for the future. I suspect the Pi 3B+ would handle an Pi-Star plus AMBE Server software and a couple ThumbDV's or DVMega DV3000 sti...

Dashboard and Log change for YSF

I would like to see and entry on the Gateway Activity and Log for Connects and Disconnects to YSF/FCS Rooms. You can tell that you are linked from the Network Info, but it would be nice to see when you connected to the Room and when you send a disconnect for a room. In addition, that information in ...

Re: Standardize Talkgroup Numbering

I realize not all modes can cross to others, but if the numbering is standardized, it would solve a lot of programming issues. All I am saying is that a YSF Gateway would recognize right away a D-Star "number" and ignore it. Same for P25 or D-Star number, thsoe coming from a DMR radio would be ignor...

Pi-Star V4.0 RC4

I know patience is a virtue, and don't flame me for asking but I was wondering if there was any word on RC4 to clean up a few of the issues. I have a mixture of Pi 3 B+ and Pi Zero hotspots and the Universal image is somewhat important to me, but RC3 has a few issues remaining. For some reason I am ...

Re: Have DRM OK, now want to use YSF

You need to turn on YSF Mode on the Jumbospot. Check the Fusion/YSF configuration section in Pi-Star You may want to set a Startup Reflector in Pi-Star to get you going quickly You need to program your Hotspot frequency into the 991, mode = C4FM Not much different setup of Pi-Start than DMR. Getting...
