Re: New alert at top of config page

Thanks, I have been search for a while for this information. Unfortunately, "DMR" mode no longer works on my hotspot after one of the update recently. It is showing traffic on the dashboard but the DMR mode is RED and I was attributing to this error.

Re: Pi-Star hotspot does not receive from FT1D

I suspect the TXOffset and RXOffset are the culprit. Every radio I have ever used had different values for these. Although an offset 0f "0" worked for the FT70DR, the FT1 would probably need a different one. The is a MMDVMCal program will allow you to transmit a tone from the Hotspot from ...

Re: 2 Hotspots - 1 Network?

I run a hotspot for each mode (DMR, D-Star, YSF, P25). No NXDN because I have n NXDN radio. All are on the same network. All are named Pi-Star and and I have absolutely not issues. Only two things to remember: 1. Either access them via their IP address or change the Host names (I give each a reserve...

Re: Pi-Star, T-Mobile SyncUP Not Connecting

Cellular is Magic. It really should not work at all. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

Re: Ver 4.1 and Pi zero w

I have run Hotspots on Raspberry Pi's since they were first a thing and before you could buy one from HRO or from eBay. I run 6 continually and have a couple for experimenting and loaning out. I have a real MMDVM_Hat with Pi Zeros, a "real" Zumspot and a Jumbospot. Also 2 Pi 3's and a PPi ...

Re: Disable WiFI when Ethernet Active

Thanks. No disrespect, but I have similar code but was suggesting that the image come with it baked in.

Disable WiFI when Ethernet Active

I searched and did not see a post referencing this.

It would be very nice to "down" WiFI when an Ethernet cable is plugged in and recognized by the network. Most of my Hotspots are Pi3 or 4's and I have 2 connections active for each.

Re: Hotspot Advice

A number of repeaters use Cellular Data with good success. Bandwidth is not a problem. The monthly usage is normally less than 1GB. Almost all of the repeaters I know of use the PepWave BR1. This is a cellular modem that can be used with any US Carrier. All you need is a SIM card from the carrier. T...

Re: Ethernet and WiFI

I have not dug into problem other than verify that the same happens on a new image. My previous experience is that the default is ETH0 if a cable is plugged in. When not, it would switch to WiFI, which is what you would want or expect. I want it to go to WiFI when Ethernet is not working as a backup...
