Re: Automatic ID? How to stop

Got it. Thank you for that explanation and I now understand. I'll leave it alone.

Re: Automatic ID? How to stop

I did find that setting and it was already off. Still, it seems that every morning at 0328 local time, the pi-star sends out W8DU/INFO on the D-star channel, without any operator intervention. Any other ideas as to how to prevent this? Tnx de Arnie W8DU p.s. the pi-star also does the same thing upon...

Re: Automatic ID? How to stop

I looked for that and could not find it. I am running the most current version of PI-STAR on a RPi Zero W.
I could not find a place for time announcements. Can you perhaps clue me in, perhaps a screen-shot would help.

Automatic ID? How to stop

I have noticed that my pi-star will sometimes key itself up with my call slash INFO on D-star. Is there a way to stop it from keying itself up autonomously?

Re: PI-star randomly changed its IP address - HELP!

I 'solved' the problem by creating a wpa_supplicant.conf file using the tool on this website. I then copied that file to the root directory on the micro-sd card, reinserted the card into the RPi Zero W and rebooted it. Voila!
Hope this helps someone.

PI-star randomly changed its IP address - HELP!

I noticed that yesterday I stopped being able to reach my pi-star (running on a RPi Zero W) over my home network. The radio still reaches it and I notice that all of a sudden, the pi-star is showing a different LAN IP address on the little OLED screen. It had been working well for weeks with my loca...

Re: How to preserve settings when upgrading?

I answered my own question. I found a setting in configuration/expert/OLED to turn on the screensaver. You have to scroll down quite a way since it is near the bottom of that page.

Re: How to preserve settings when upgrading?

Thanks for the tips. I did see a Youtube, I think it was, that said to place the backup.zip onto the newly imaged sd card and this did work. However, now I am noticing that the display is dark unless a signal is detected. Before, I would get a constantly scrolling MMDVM across the screen and this re...
