Re: PiStar HotSpot question
One of my hotspots is simplex and on RPI 0 W. Here is its configuration with BrandMeister + XLX + DMRplus + FreeDMR + TGIF --> https://pastebin.com/EXcxspg7 To call BM --> plain dial (to call tg 222 just dial 222) To call XLX and switch module --> TG 6 to talk and private calls to connect to modules...

Re: PiStar and Pi Zero w Question
Hi,
it does work. I have 3 hotspots, and one of them is on a RPI 0 W first version.

Pi star as tier 1 repeater with 2 opengd77
Hello all, I was basically wondering if there are news about an already seen topic (https://forum.pistar.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2191). Since 4 years have passed, I ask if there is any possibility to use 2 opengd77 radio to work as tier one repeater connecting both of them to the pi-star. Thanks! '73 IZ5...

Well,
I'll try to reduce the size of the question
When the pistar is in DSTAR mode it sends a voice beacon with the callsign of the host.
Is it possibile to do the same in DMR? ...

Hello, I've got a hotspot made with OpenGD77 + external antenna. Is there a way with pi-star (without allstarlink and reflectors) to inject an mp3/ogg/wav/whatever file in the air (DMR)? I'd like to broadcast an announce, something like "This is IZ5WGA HotSpot - Frequency XXX.XXX, Color Code X ...

GPS send doesn't seem to work
Greetings, I connected my pi-star after some months of inactivity and updated to latest version. I use opengd 77 modem. When I try to send APRS data trough DMR (pistar is connected to BM, I use TG 222999 since I'm Italian) , my aprs position doesn't show up in aprs.fi. On the dashboard, column "...

Re: Pistar linking DMR
In the end I just created an hblink server and both hotspots connect to the same master. Far people use the simplex with baofeng (it's got about a 10 km city area coverage ) while at home I use the duplex mmdvm one

Re: Announces in dmr
As of now, I supplied with the scheme
Allstar <--> HBLink <--> hotspot
A cron in allstar node transmits to hblink the announce, and from there it goes on air through the pistars
