Re: 4.3.0 Beta feedback

Hi Andy, It has been a while since the 4.3.0 beta was released. There was mention of a 5.0 release. Do you have a guesstimate of the ETA of the next update? BTW, I am using 4.3.0 with a pi 5 and I am very happy with how the pi 5's speed enhances the response of the dashboard and BM static TG settin...

But you can copy the backup zip file and wpa_supplicant.conf to the new image and that should get you back to where you were nice and simply.

Re: Pi-star Change Password

I cannot access my Pi-Star Hotspot. I must have changed the Password, and probably the User Name? But I don't remember what I changed it to, as it was over a year ago... Please can anyone tell me how I can access my Hotspot? When I try to access it via it's IP address, it requests a User Name and P...

Re: Restore 4.2.1 on macOS not working

Just save the backup zip to the root directory as you would with wpa_supplicant.conf and reboot, it should restore the backup automagically.

Re: Screensaver

I've always used the scrolling screen as a way of knowing that the hotspot is still working, it doesn't begin to scroll until everything is initialised correctly.

Re: Screensaver

Is the scrolling not the 'screensaver'?

Re: Restore backup from existing 4.1.7 to fresh 4.2.1?

Yes, it worked for me going from 4.1.8 to 4.2.1 as I just placed the zip backup and the wpa_supplicant.conf files on the boot partition and it just did it.

The Pi Zero 2 W is a lot nicer for running the dashboard!

Re: Zumspot Libre Not upgrading

You could try an ssh connection to the Pi-Star and then use the pistar-zumspotflash command after having used wget to retrieve the firmware from the page suggested.

I don't know if it will work, but it has to be worth a go. You will need to use rpi-rw so that the card is writable.
