Multi-Mode Pistar - Linking/Unlinking
I see that it is possible to set the pistar up for multi-mode use, e.g., DMR and D-STAR. I read this quote of Andy Taylor online "My best advice for operating multi-mode is to turn on the modes you want—and leave them un-linked at startup, and only link when you want to (doing so from the radio...

Re: Connection Problems
Problem solved. Turned out to be a router problem. Apparently when the power went down last month, it hosed up the DHCP in it. The tip off was the 169.254.XXX.XXX IP address on the pistar display. All set now.

Connection Problems
I have a mini pistar using the pizerow processor that I've used for several years and until recently it never gave me any issues. It quit connecting into the wifi system. I replaced the SD card, flashed an image on the new card with balena etcher and booted it. After several minutes I saw pi-star se...

Unaccessible Pi-Star(s)
Both my Zum Spot (3B Raspberry Pi) and my Mini mmdvm (Raspberry Pi Zero W) won't let me into the Dashboard on my home network. They are both several years old and have worked faithfully, until now. My network is a Unifi with a Security Gateway Router. Nothing has changed on it. If I power up the Zum...

Logging into Dashboard
I've had this Zumspot now for several years and it has been awesome! I periodically switch from DMR to YSF to D-Star and need to get into the configuration menu. Lately, when I put the IP address of the Zumspot into my browser, it refuses to connect. I know the IP address is good because I see it in...

AURSINC (Amazon) Raspberry Pi Zero W - Ethernet
I see that AuRSINC is now distributing their MMDVM Modem and Pi Zero W on Amazon with an Ethernet Adapter. I have one of these modems and am wondering just what is needed to hardwire this modem into an Ethernet port. Does an Ethener to USB adapter just plug into one of the Micro USB connecctors on t...

Re: Pi-Star Hangs at Startup
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried a different power supply and cable and it didn't help. Reimaged the SD card and restored the configuration and all is well! Not sure what happened or why, but it's working and that's what matters!
Thanks again and 73,

Pi-Star Hangs at Startup
I've had this little Pi-star from Amazon with the Raspberry Pi 0 and MMDVM board for several months and it has worked great. Yesterday and today it hangs up and displays "Startup". Yesterday after rebooting it several times it finally did start. Today no such luck. I tried reseating the SD...

Two Pi-Stars?
I have a Zumspot setup in the shack at the QTH and recently picked up from Amazon a small MMDVM modem setup with a smaller Pi Zero W. What I'd like to do is leave the Zumspot at the home QTH and take the second Pi-Star otu to the campground where the RV is parked - about 20 miles from the home QTH. ...
