Re: XLX Reflectors

I am running a Jumbospot, pi-0, mmdvmhshat hotspot with current firmware. If I understand the great info in this thread correctly, if I want to connect to XLX271B via the radio or via p-star admin, I would input DCS271B, the link to connect, then set the HT (TH-D74A) to use reflector, to be able to...

Re: courtesy / tail beep

This would need adding at the MMDVM level.

Suggest asking for this feature in either the MMDVM Yahoo group,
or MMDVM Facebook group.

Re: CW ID Customized

Okay, thanks for the explanation. I suggested to Andrew, M1DNS, some time ago that it might be a good idea to have a category in the forum for repeater operators, since the requirements for repeater operators can vary so significantly from the general operation of personal, low power hotspots. This...

Re: YSF Reflector List format - "Not Linked"

The list is generated from the online registry. Register at https://register.ysfreflector.de/ and Ur reflector will automagically get added to the server that updates pistar.

Re: What causes

Check the Loss and BER columns on the dashboard.
If they're reading high it could simply be the signal coming from the reflector / server or the signal as received at the other end coming onto the network.

Re: Call sign change has broken my pi-star

The log error shown above points to a callsign error.
Either entered incorrectly or one of the other call fields is programmed incorrectly for use with this particular install.

Re: Dimmable oled / led’s on/off

Thanks for the feedback, my concern in dimming the remote OLED is merely longevity. Replacing the OLED when visiting the remote site requires some disassembly and soldering that we might might not have time for. Having installed a hostapd on the RPi3 wifi, it's a simple matter to use a tablet to en...

Re: Call sign routing from Zumspot

What's prob. happening is the radio is ignoring all other transmission and only resolving the traffic that you want to pass. So you only hear audio from what you have selected in the radio.

Re: Call sign routing from Zumspot

There's no such thing as a private connection, clever squelch ??
All RF is open and anyone with a receiver for the mode can hear you.

What gets TX'd by a repeater / node / hotspot is available to all to listen in.
