Re: Loss of DTMF Decoding PLUS loss of ability to edit ircddbgateway config file from Expert Menu

Yep. dtmf linking ability is handled by ircddbgateway.

The last round of updates pushed a newer vers. of MMDVMhost and a newer ircddbgateway.

Re: Lost password

Just for the record... I enstowed Jason as a moderator of this group because of his understanding of pistar, mmdvm and all its associated softwares and a lot of the hardware associated as well. Hes also hangs out here a lot more often than Andy and I have time to dedicate And as he says, he has dire...

Re: No dmr audio

We already announced this. Or at least i think we announced it... BM USA asked us to aid them in moving users off of 3101 by removing it as an option in PS. 3104 was added as a replacement server. i used that post here with a simple copy paste over to the FB page to aid me, due to other work commitm...

Re: Running concurrent Igate software with Pi-Star?

Also, hotspots don't do FM. The AD 7021 rf chips dont run FM mode. So would only be useful to wide area systems that make use of mobile radios or true repeater hardware. Given the randomness of network traffic how would you handle lockouts to prevent traffic collision? Youll need mmdvm firmware and ...

Re: No time announcement...

One sure way to avoid any issue is set both modules up to use one ircddbgateway server login. This is how a true multi module repeater stack would connect, but it envolves a fair bit of work in the expert section of ircddbgateway and mmdvmhost. In the 2nd installation change the ip address fields of...

Re: No time announcement...

If your logged into the dplus network and you connect two installs configured with the same login, to the same reflector that can earn you a liftime ban from their network. Is there any issue with having 2x hotspots active on D-STAR (but on different frequencies) with the same RPT1 designation? Will...

Re: No time announcement...

You wouldn't, each repeater would have its own repeater call. With some networks it'll get you banned if connecting with two configs using the exact same login. Also, mmdvmhost doesnt really care what module is used for what freq. range. Whilst its a recognised standard you can use any module A-D as...

Re: can't connect via hotspot

Where are you trying to connect? Wires x is Yaesu's own proprietary network, hotspot users dont have access to it. The only access into wires x rooms is by using rf bridges that are put up by 3rd parties. Rf bridges are used to link YSF reflectors, or DMR tgs to wires x rooms. They are mostly nothin...

Re: Anyone any ideas please?

Youll have dificulty hosting a reflector and an mmdvm install on the same external ip. You need to change the inbound port for the reflector, as one port cant be forwarded to two machines. The std. Install uses port 43000 (i think, from memory as not at home to check) which is the default for ysfgat...

Re: Two Pi-Stars?

You can keep both up at the same time by using an SSID added to ur ID When logging in. using an SSID a BM server will see you as two seperate logins, both should show in ur selfcare acc. when changing ur 7digit id in pistar config making it a 9digit ID. ur Std.ID 1234567 ID + SSID 1234567 plus 01 2n...
