Three transmit clicks necessary to link

I’m trying to set up DStar for a friend on pi-star and a jumbospot on a Pi3B. There’s an odd problem. It works, but linking or unlinking requires three transmit clicks. I have an identical hotspot and HT, a 31a, and my setup works fine. I’m using a SanDisk 32gb Extreme card, so no problems there, SD...

Re: BER and RSSI readings reversed on Nextion with JumboSpot in DStar mode

Thanks, I found that it was an error in the two screens by the same designer. I tried the American flag screen and the readings are correct there.

BER and RSSI readings reversed on Nextion with JumboSpot in DStar mode

Here’s a quirk! Thanks to help on this forum my Nextion screen on a Pi2/Jumbospot in DMR mode now displays RSSI readings as well as BER correctly. However, in DStar mode the readings are reversed. On the Dashboard they’re OK but on the Nextion the RSSI box will display, say, 0.00% while the BER box ...

Re: RSSI Reading with Jumbospot

Well, thank you very much, wb6dtb! I did a pi-star group search for RSSI and came up with the list of values posted by Matej Ravnikar in March. I entered them in the RSSI Data section, saved, and rebooted, and now I get both BER and RSSI readings for DMR on my Nextion screen. I can't explain why I g...

RSSI Reading with Jumbospot

Before I go completely nuts with this, does anyone have an idea why using a Pi2 or Pi3 and a Jumbospot I get BER readings but not RSSI? Before my Pi3B+ fried, I could get both readings with it. I’m using a Nextion 3.2 enhanced screen with USB to serial converter. I’ve tried loading three different s...

Re: Nextion screen frequency text line

Rob, Thanks, I will read the tutorial. I thought I could puzzle it out with hammer and screwdriver, but I guess not. It’s time to actually know what I’m doing with the screens! Thanks again, Alan

Re: Nextion screen frequency text line

I’ve tried to edit that line in the Editor. If I select in the Page box on the upper right, say, 1 DStar, the display shows the DStar screen with the frequency text at the bottom. If I click on the text, the Attribute column shows entries for id, objname, type, vscope, pic, xywh. But no entry displa...

Nextion screen frequency text line

Rob, I'm using your excellent 3.2 inch single TS v. 2.10 Nextion screen. It works perfectly. I have just a small question. The Tx/Rx frequency is fixed text at 433.575MHz. As it turns out I use 433.000 for Tx/Rx. It's not a major thing, but I'd like to change the frequency to 433.000. I know how to ...
