Re: how to setup pi-star to automatically reconnect to the YSF Reflector if looses connection

Scroll down towards the bottom of the ysfgw config and look for the network and change revert from 0 to 1 and ensure that you have the target in the start up (most likely already is) Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200522/7b0049dc10b2f539f586ab8e2c1fba41.jpg

Re: what do you use

I have a pair of Icom IC-F3161DS (VHF) IC-F4161DS (UHF) nxdn radio's.

These fall into the first generation category of radio as they don't have any bells & whistles (no text message or gps)

So for use with mmdvm they get the job done!

Re: P25 Linked to will not change (cannot unlink/change TG)

The log files for Pi-star are available in /var/log/pistar and that will be populated with whatever modes you have active. You may want to add tg9999 to your P25 list to disconnect from a given reflector, but it's not necessary to disconnect before keying up another... Also tg10 is the local echo te...

Re: P25 Linked to will not change (cannot unlink/change TG)

I've attempted to replicate the problem you are having, but unfortunately I just can't. I run P25 on a zumspot (Original 0.4 hardware) and I also have a Zumradio (0.9 hardware) that is running as a simplex VHF system (Tait TM8110) and I'm unable to reproduce you issue on that one either. Is this a f...

Re: Australian Foundation License - Gateway function - IC9700

Unfortunately the short answer is no. This is the reason why there's discussion happening between the ACMA and the WIA for a solution. This was a rather short sighted decision by the WIA back in 2005 to implement a non standard callsign structure. Although I do believe that it was done deliberately ...

Re: P25 not working on YSF2NXDN on Yaesu FT70

I was going to point out the obvious that P25 will never work with ysf2nxdn! But the correct answer is above use DN for ysf2nxdn and WM for ysf2p25. One thing to note is that when using ysf2p25 and you are still in the wires-x control mode the FT-70D will only transmit in DN, so once you have setup ...

Re: Can the ICOM IC-V82 with UT118 work with PiStar?

Do you have the Icom programmed to use a 0MHz duplex offset? You can't just use a simplex frequency to use dstar with pistar as the gateway is needed and this is only available when you are using a duplex frequency (like a repeater) however as the hotspot is a simplex device you have to trick the ra...

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Just a quick note about using the expert panel to make custom changes. If you make complex changes and save them, they'll work. But if you make changes via the normal configuration section then this will overwrite sections of the complex settings. So basically if you make advanced editing you should...

Re: Parrot on Native NXDN no Pi.

Short answer is no!

When you host a reflector it is just that, and the parrot is separate from a reflector.

They can't be combined

Re: Prevent UA Talkgroups

Under the options for DMR+ is where you can prevent users from changing the connected reflector by adding to the end of the line ;UserLink=0 However this will not alter the use of Brandmeister UA talkgroups. Double check the /etc/mmdvm file to see if there's something that is disabled that looks sim...
