Re: P252DMR and friends as possible future Pistar features

I pushed P252DMR into my MMDVM_CM fork tonight, and added 2 new repos 'imbe_vocoder" and .md380_vocoder'. Here is how it works (this all being done on a Pi): https://github.com/nostar/imbe_vocoder make and make install will install this library 'libimbe_vocoder.a' and header file to /usr/local https...

Re: P252DMR and friends as possible future Pistar features

I was planning on creating 'md380_vocoder' as a stand-alone C library for use with other projects like my DudeStar/DroidStar projects, the AMBE server in xlxd (ambed), etc. I'll work on that and see what I come up with.

Re: P252DMR and friends as possible future Pistar features

Hi Andy, I've been thinking about the same thing. Everything gets linked into a single, static executable 'P252DMR'. It would be no problem for me to host the executable (along with the others I mentioned as they become a reality) on github or on my own personal webserver, if necessary. Then you cou...

P252DMR and friends as possible future Pistar features

I wrote a new cross mode utility for the MMDVM_CM tools called P252DMR which does software transcoding between DMR(AMBE+2 2450x1150) and P25 phase 1(IMBE 4400x2800). For P25 It uses the open source imbe_vocoder developed by Pavel Yazev and can be found in the op25 repository for GNU Radio, among oth...

Re: new DMR2YSF version available with changes to allow TX over Wires-X

I found another combination of settings that works across Wires-X boundaries and does *not* require a fake radio ID. Being able to modify these settings by the end user via the DMR2YSF.ini file is an important feature for DMR2YSF, I don't know why my patch/ pull request hasn't been added yet. [YSF N...

Re: Why no DMR2YSF users are being heard anymore, and how to get around it

I did. See my post under feature requests "new DMR2YSF version available with changes to allow TX over Wires-X". I forked the MMDVM_CM github repo, applied my changes, and submitted a pull request back to the original repo, all as requested. There has been no response for 4 months now.

Right now the only option available is for you to apply the software changes manually.

Re: new DMR2YSF version available with changes to allow TX over Wires-X

Hi Andy,

Well, it's been 3 months with no response to either my pull request or my issue post where I posted the patch details. Meanwhile, I am still getting asked on a regular basis when my changes will be added to Pi-Star. What do you think about going forward using my forked repo?

new DMR2YSF version available with changes to allow TX over Wires-X

In my post from a few weeks ago, I described the problem with DMR2YSF and new Wires-X software, and provided a workaround in the form of a software patch for DMR2YSF: This was only meant to be a proof of concept for the MMDVM_CM software developer and others, with hard coded values. I was hoping to ...
