Hello. Can you change the date portion of the backups to something like YYYY-mm-dd? This would result in backup names that sort by date in a directory versus having to hunt for a backup by day number and month names. Interesting. It takes a while but I'm not sure why this would hang. A friend says his PiStar/RPi3A+ fails to connect to WiFi so I'm going to look at it an report what I discover. My sense is this problem is caused by several things resulting with the same inability to have a reliable WiFi client connection. Please be sure you are providing the RPi with enough (clean) power as these boards are very sensitive with regard to voltage and current and will not operate correctly. Any issue I have had with intermittent WiFi has been resolved with using a good power supply.
