Update: I was able to flash it by pulling pin 20 to ground. At least I believe that's pin 20.
Either way, I followed the image and I'm now at firmware version 1.6.1
PS: This is not my image, jut a copy of the one which was provided to me.

Re: Firmware Locked
For my board, this didn't work. I suspect if you have a board with "jumpers", there's a definite possibility this could work. I also suspect that somebody with more knowledge of the STM32 microcontrollers and who would know how to get the proper pins in the correct state, could get my boar...

Re: AURSINC MMDVM HS_DUAL_HAT Firmware Issue
So this is where I stand. I simply can't seem to initialize the device to flash. example sudo stm32flash -v -w mmdvm_hs_dual_hat_fw.bin -g 0x0 -R -i 20,-21,21:-20,21 /dev/ttyAMA0 stm32flash 0.5 http://stm32flash.sourceforge.net/ Using Parser : Raw BINARY Interface serial_posix: 57600 8E1 GPIO sequen...

Re: AURSINC MMDVM HS_DUAL_HAT Firmware Issue
I soldered PIN 38 and 40 to each other. That didn't seem to enable the flash process to succeed. PS: The current firmware on the modem seem to identify itself as MMDVM_HS_Dual_Hat-v1.5.2 20201108 14.7456 dual ADF7021 FW CA6JAU GitID #89daa20 The board I have looks identical to the image I've attached.

Re: AURSINC MMDVM HS_DUAL_HAT Firmware Issue
I haven't had any luck yet. I can confirm that PIN 39 and PIN 40 are connected to something. Using my ohmmeter, I do see that they are in circuit. I'm not exactly certain to which part of the circuit they're connected to, but they do lead to something. Other than the pistar-modemupgrade command, is ...

Re: AURSINC MMDVM HS_DUAL_HAT Firmware Issue
I hadn't tried generic. Now I have tried it both command line and from the advanced commands.

Re: AURSINC MMDVM HS_DUAL_HAT Firmware Issue
I essentially have the same board. The one exception is that I have the surface mount antennas and the one pictured here has antenna connectors. I seem to be having the same issue. "Modem flashing failed. The serial port was either busy, or the modem is possibly locked from the vendor". I ...
