Re: Will a Pi-Star hotspot automatically reconnect to a reflector after an internet drop?
The odds are good that anyone trying to answer would have to have done exactly what you did -- find a zone with spotty cell-phone service and drive in/out of service area. Thanks, I wasn't suggesting that someone specifically go out and test this, I was hoping that someone would already know what t...

Re: Will a Pi-Star hotspot automatically reconnect to a reflector after an internet drop?
I'm sad that nobody was able to answer this. To help anyone out who has the same question. I did some tests today, I drove through areas of poor mobile phone coverage and when I came out the other side, my hotspot announced "Linking to reflector [insert reflector name here]", followed a fe...

Will a Pi-Star hotspot automatically reconnect to a reflector after an internet drop?
I'm going travelling in a couple of weeks and I'm going to take a Pi-Star MMDVM hotspot with me for D-Star. I'll be tethering to an Android phone and I know that some areas will have limited coverage so the internet connection will drop. Will the hotspot automatically reconnect to my reflector of ch...

Re: Automated backup?
Why do you need the GUI frontend? I don't, I was using that as an example to show that I'd actually done some work and tried to find out where the backup was called from and wondering whether it would be possible to invoke it that way somehow. I'll use what you've posted as a basis for my shell scr...

Automated backup?
I don't need to restore from a backup very often but it's occurred to me that I don't take a backup of my Pi-Star hotspots often enough. I see that the backup is triggered from within /var/www/dashboard/admin/config_backup.php but is there an easy way I can kick this off via cron with the output fil...

Re: Pi-Star linking to wrong ysfreflector
Replying to myself. I've renamed the reflector by editing the 'name' field in /etc/YSFReflector.ini and I waited until the system realised it had changed. This has resolved the problem as it appears to be limited to reflectors that have leading zeros in the IDs. We have a new number and it's working...

Re: Pi-Star linking to wrong ysfreflector
Another update to this - I had a backup of the SD card made in September and that's just been reinstalled in the reflector.
It's made no difference so this appears to be a problem with the back end somewhere. It's not Pi-Star related.

Re: Pi-Star linking to wrong ysfreflector
Similar, possibly same issue for me. Here is my post about the issue from last week: https://forum.pistar.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3194 Main difference is that in my case we are YSF-YSF, not DMR2YSF etc. Ahh, I did a search but I missed this one. In my case, it's also YSF-YSF and I notice a simil...

Re: Pi-Star linking to wrong ysfreflector
Has yours ever worked? Mine has been working perfectly for well over six months but it just suddenly started failing a few days ago.
