Re: New Overlay for DMRGateway - welcome your comments

Beginners question, how can I log the "Rule Trace"? Edit: Ok, I should have looked before I asked. I found it in [General] RuleTrace=1, so the new question is can I view this log live? Edit2: Beginners answer: Google it, my bad. Found this tail -f /var/log/pi-star/DMRGateway-2020-05-22.log seems to ...

Re: Btech DMR-6x2 HT

Hi Kevin You could try reducing the Tx power in Configuration>Expert>MMDVMHost, scroll down to "Modem" section, find "RFLevel". The default is 100, most people suggest changing this to 10, I have found performance is still ok for me setting it to 5. I understand this to be % of max power. Hope this ...

Re: Ver 4.1 and Pi zero w

Most likely this is just a case of the original poster not being patient enough. A RPi Zero W can take a full minute to become stable when booting, where a 3B+ and a 4B can be stable in 10-15 seconds. The major difference is between a single processor at 1 Ghz, and 4 processors at 1.2, 1.4 or 1.5 G...

Try increasing the jitter buffer value by a couple hundred. Found On the DMR network section of mmdvmhost from the expert pages.

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Stephen, I notice your HS is registered against 8/4 (i.e. 3804 is your local? I am also registered there But I do not have any OPTIONS set so I don't know how I got this set. I assume if I have it set I would rather be set to 8/2 (i.e. NSW) but how do I do that? Hi Alan, From my current Expert, Ful...

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Hi Alan Very short transmissions from DMR+ network seems to give a high packet loss. The longer the transmission the more accurate the packet loss that is reported (0.8 sec gives 42% packet loss). BM seems to drop those initial lost packets. There may be a setting somewhere, but I don't know how to ...

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Seems like you worked it out ok. There seems to be 2 places this can be entered, in the "Configuration" page, General Configuration section. This info must be written to "Configuration/Expert/DMR GW" in the [Info] section. If you edit in the Configuration page it will probably disable TGIF in the Ex...

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

No worries Alan, I am glad I have been some help.

It is also good to get the parrots and the announcements working on each of the networks. I am getting there slowly.

Re: Read-write 5057 to 234999

If it works, that's great. I don't think that you need to specify both time-slots, most likely you only need PCRewrite=2,5057,2,234999,1 You could check which time slot is being used on the Pi-Star Dashboard Alternatively, you could edit the radio/code plug "APRS TG" and replace 5057 with 234999 in ...
