The problem appears to have "sorted itself". I initially tried a Shark Openspot2 and that didn't work either... I got the Pi-Star/MMDVM working with the server in Ireland and then after the post on here about there being a UK one QRV again, I swapped to that one and it is working fine.

BrandMeister broken?
With the dropping of the UK BrandMeister, I have changed the settings to use Ireland and checked the password is set too. I can change static talkgroups through the BM Manager and it is shown on the BM web page for my call, however I don't seem able to put a call out, nor do dynamic talkgroups appea...

Re: Where is the echo test recorded?
Depends on the mode used. As above Mostly server, except Dstar. if you use the -------E (seven spaces and an E it records locally using ircddbgateway. If you connect to echo reflectors like the Z module of an XLX reflector it gets recorded via the reflector. That’s useful to know Andrew. Have you a...

Re: Where is the echo test recorded?
You are trying to compare apples to oranges. The entire pathway from your hotspot to a reflector might be completely different than the pathway from your hotspot to the echo test. <SNIP> No, it is not recorded on the hotspot. It comes directly from a server. It just replays whatever it received. Th...

Where is the echo test recorded?
When I’ve had reports of poor/broken signals from my own transmission on a reflector, an echo test works OK.
Is the echo test recorded in Pi-Star, or does it test further back in the system?
Thanks
Dave

XLX in D-Star config?
I’m running 4.1.0-RC8 with a DVAP dongle.
I can select XLX reflectors from the admin page, but not from the config page where you select a reflector at startup.
I don’t know what difference, if any, there is between DCS and XLX reflectors. So the above differences may be irrelevant.

You could use an IP scanner to find what is connected to your phone, use a Windows PC or laptop running a free utility, such as:

Works a treat.

You can also change the colours too. Mine on 70cms DMR has a green background to the web page, one occasionally used with a 2m DVAP dongle is blue...

Re: Need your help.... Talkgroups, how to change ?
Lee, it sounds like your 380 is set to “promiscuous”. It should only receive the talkgroup selected on the radio, regardless of what is configured on the Pi-Star. Assuming you have no static groups configured, send 4000 (usually one of buttons on the radio is programmed to bring it up on screen), th...
