Re: ft991A receive audio
@K9EQ: My experience (and apparently same with many others) is that FT-991A receives good audio when listening direct C4FM radios, for eg. FTM-100's transmitting sounds really good listening on FT-991A, that is not the question here, the question is that listening MMDVM_HS or DVMega personal hotspot...

Re: "No D-Star Network"/"D-Star Net" status red after update
"D-Star Network" status red means ircddbgateway is not running. If you are ok with using ssh check ircddbgateway log using:
cat /var/log/pi-star/ircDDBGateway*.log
cat /var/log/pi-star/ircDDBGateway*.log

Re: ft991A receive audio
+1, the other thread you read it's probably mine... it's a pity and a shame but C4FM on this radio seems really bad :( On mine at least the audio listening hotspot It's not just muffled but sounds like if there are lost packets or packets with errors that aren't being FEC corrected... it's really st...

Re: update loop, update fails
See what you think of the PR I did submit on Bin repo, to try to fix this automagically.

Re: update loop, update fails
From some quick tests I made, I think the "update-index --assume-unchanged" is actually just making things worst, if you didn't do it then the "reset --hard" would actually work without the rm. The "assume-unchanged" never really allowed the file to be updated and actua...

Re: update loop, update fails
I told you it could happen, you didn't believe me :P The issue is triggered specifically when user tries to fetch an update that includes both updated pistar-update and pistar-upnp.service files at same time. Users who updated progressively will not experience the problem as they likely updated each...

Re: update loop, update fails
@pa3kc: just to confirm, you did see "Restarting update process with the new version..." (along with other lines) again, and again, and again... right? (non-stop, on a single run of the update script) Seeing it restart update once is normal as KE7FNS said, forever it's not normal. @MW0MWZ:...

Re: MMDVM + pi4b - heat issues?
I have two hotspots, one is MMDVM_HS on a RPi2 and the other is DVMEGA on a RPi2+ (AFAIK similar CPU to RPi3 but without WIFI), both also average always 45-50ºC at idle (usually always 50ºC at summer), and the MMDVM_HS runs like this 24/7 for 3 years now without any problem...

Re: bad audio listening MMDVM_HS on FT-991A
Thanks for your replies, I didn't check forum for a while and only noticed them now. I can also add that now I do also own a DVMega hotspot and it's exactly the same as MMDVM_HS when listening on FT-991A. I guess it must be something on the FT-991A really as no other radios have the problem, it's a ...

Re: Configuration Update appears to be stuck?
KE7FNS: He should know it, as he fixed it Just didn't release new image yet... anyway not critical as update really runs, just no output on the 1st update with fresh image.
