Re: Firmware update problem

If you get that error on both board - it's not the firmware nut the board itself (mostly) "Failed to Init Device" does not mean wrong firmware (even though on a Zumboard it would be. Please try what is suggested here several time On the WHITE Zumspot Zumboard use: sudo pistar-zumspotflash rpi you ma...

Re: New to DMR & PiStar

Cheers Fred;OK from what I gather, you really should not have your hotspot on the same frequency as a 'real' repeater, as if you travel with your hotspot to an area you can hit the repeater, you could cause problems. Next, If moonraker codeplug is based off of the PHOENIX DMR in UK you need to set y...

Re: Install Pi Star on Linux Cinnamon HOW ??

I am not sure I'm the right person to answer this but... Pi-Star is a custom image of Raspbian made for SBC (single board computers). Think of Pi-Star as an automobile engine, many, many parts. Linux possibly CAN handle Pi-Star, but it would take a LOT of work trying to get the right parts. Not to m...

Re: learning cron command

Thanks w7efs, you taught me something. As I posted, I didn't think my modification would work either (wasn't sure about the quotes or having a space for arguments. Yours also strings 3 commands together with the && . See even I can be taught a new thing. One night I think I caught the Young people's...

Re: learning cron command

I haven't heard of using cron in this way , but yours (if it did work for this) would connect every minute from 7 to 8 pm as your syntax is malformed. 0 19 * * 4 pi-star "sudo pistar-link xrf002a" > /dev/null 2>&1 and this assumes MY syntax is correct as I am not sure about the quotes for the comman...

Re: color hex code for the dashboard???

OK more details - when you say didn't come oout right, it's like saying: I baked some cookies but they didn't come out right WHAT didn't come oout right? Did your color appear anywhere? did it not come out at all? All the values on the CSS page are for different aspects of the page(s). Mine I have t...

Re: Nextion not reading card?

I found on my NX3224K024_011 screen that it does not like Class 10 (High Speed) cards, The class 4 works fine (small number in circle on the SD Card - you may need a magnifier to see them -- a U1 and Class 10 are the same for speed, so stay with the Class 4 and it should read just fine. If not, you'...

RasPi3B+ wheree did the Beta go?

Greetings from Maine USA; A friend in Michigan US has acquired a RasberryPi 3B+ board. I remember seeing that the 3B+ needed a special Beta to work. I did not find this on the Beta side or on the Alternate mirror. Where did it go? I tried the 4.0.0-RC3 from 20-Jan-2019 but I set the modem and it won...

Re: SFTP to filesystem

W7EFS, I stress to readmy disclaimer, which says I am NOT a developer, guru expert, nor do I claim to be -- the OP says he can't upload a file, I can in WinSCP. Have I tried this on a Hotspot, NO, so tak what I say as you wish. Re-read what he asked then proovide an answer that will work for what th...
