Re: Reflector Announcement - how to?

No problem, if I get the time to work out the UDP frame conversion I'll let you know. I wouldn't mind creating an announcement or two time permitting if I get that figured. The OP25 project by the osmocom group does have software that handles this conversion http://osmocom.org/projects/op25/wiki I'v...

Alright so I'm not crazy lol....

I kept seeing the MD-380 referenced and couldn't help but think uh... this is the p25 specific forum.
I have an XTS 5000 model 3, when in close range to my hotspot my BER is 0.0% it has been checked on a service monitor and I see you've done the same.

Re: Reflector Announcement - how to?

Unfortunately this is not something so easily done. I've been making some modifications to P25Reflector and P25Gateway for my own areas amateur radio linked system and have also pondered having announcements. The way MMDVM (well P25Clients) is implemented at least for P25 is taking captured UDP voic...

Re: Restricting P25 groups

You could give that a try, I'm not 100% sure if that will work because the p25 Gateway on mmdvm will understand that there is nothing at that address and it will time out. However that may still prevent audio frames from being passed elsewhere. Give it a try and let me know how that works for you an...

Re: looking for a solution

I would first check with the P25NX group regarding this. It seems to me that pi-star's included P25Hosts list either already links to P25NX or simply uses a similar talk group ID convention. I have never worked with the P25NX group so I'm not 100% sure but it appears that they would not want linking...

Re: Restricting P25 groups

I would like to clarify a bit on how Pi-star, specifically in the case of P25Gateway handles talk group ids. Lets say you've modified your P25Hosts list to include the following talk group ids. 50100, 50102 and 50103. No other talk groups are in your P25Hosts list in this example. P25Gateway, the so...
