I had this exact problem when transitioning from a simplex hat to a dupkex one. In your codeplug channel config, make sure that "Through mode" is UNCHECKED.

If I can find some inexpensive mobiles, I *might* attempt building a Brandmeister repeater; there aren't any near where I live (which is why I got a hotspot to begin with). Dunno, though, imagine the havoc I'd create if I got *that* wrong! [emoji1787]

Wow. That is absolutely what the issue was. I hadn't even realized that through mode was set.

Here's a screen cap of the channel for the Reddit TG via my hotstpot. Note that even if I change the timeslot to TS1, the hotspot still receives it as TS2.

It's a BTech 6X2, similar to Anytone 686. Again, I'm 99.95% sure the issue is not with the handheld, since it works fine when the hotspot is not in "dual-hat" configuration. For that matter, I'm not sure how the hotspot being de-sensed would affect my handhelds ability to receive when the ...

My power level is at 50. I can borrow a dummy load, but I'll have to see if I have an SMA to PL-259 adapter.

So, I haven't lost my mind (today, anyway).
