Re: Digital Voice Dashboard for M1ABC

Toshen,

what is your $callsign variable in /var/www/dashboard/config/ircddblocal.php?

I have another system to update later today (which hasn't been updated for at least a month), I'll make it a point to inspect it today when I get home.

Digital Voice Dashboard for M1ABC

pulled the latest rev today (its been a while since I've pulled.) First thing I noticed was when going to the dashboard, the header says "Pi-Star Digital Voice Dashboard for M1ABC" Not sure where the M1ABC came from (might have been there all along...) but upon further investigation, it appears to c...

Add Hostname to filename for backup

Would be helpful to have the pistar hostname added to the name of the backup file, so those of us with multiple hotspots can more easily differentiate between our configuration files. e.g. which file goes to which host:

PI-STAR_CONFIG_FN41JV_20180710.ZIP
PI-STAR_CONFIG_FN41NO_20180710.ZIP

etc.

Re: Manual Update Halted By Question

For the typical user (who just uses pistar and doesn't fiddle around with anything else) you are absolutely 100% dead on.

Re: Manual Update Halted By Question

That question is normal. It occurs when the package installer detects a configuration file has changes to it which, if it overwrites, may cause you problems. (Imagine, if you will, if you had customized your web server configuration file and when an update to apache comes down, it overwrites your co...

Re: Disable Sending APRS Information

Wow, great find! Thanks! You're welcome. Wish I could take credit, but it really belongs to Gene. Toshen, I didn't realize you were the author of the Contentment by Design blog.... Your blog was a huge help to me when I first started in the world of pi-star and DMR. Thank you for all the time and e...

Re: How to use APRS

What exactly are you attempting to accomplish with APRS?

For example, if you want to beacon your pi-star, you could use a USB GPS dongle and APRX to update your hotspot's location periodically.

Re: Wired Connection

without autonegotiate you'll likely have to set the port speed on both the switch and the dongle. what does ethtool report? e.g. [email protected](rw):pi-star# ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: Supported ports: [ TP MII ] Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/...
