Pi-Star/Zum Spot connectivity To DAPnet

I realise this subject will have been covered many time before and I have done a search for information only to find old info, out of date links etc and have come to a bit of a dead end. In fact the link at the top of this board index is knackered....... Takes you to Facebook only to find that the i...

Re: Timeslot confusion

Ah right....

Thanks for that, it's things like this you don't seem to be able to find out unless you start bothering folk on forums. I did a search but couldn't pin it down, will have a look at your link.

Timeslot confusion

Hi all. Can anyone advise me if I have something adrift with my pistar setup ? I'll say at this point that my Zum Spot appears to be working ok but it's what I see on my dashboard compared to what I have setup in my codeplug that is confusing me and I need to know if I need to correct anything. In m...

Re: Newbie About To Take The Plunge.

On the Beaglebone forums, Win32 Disk Imager has been deprecated. The recommendation is to use Balena Etcher (which is smart enough to not require one unpack ZIP files to get to the image file). Win32 Disk Imager may still be useful if making a /copy/ of the SD card onto the computer. Yeah, I dare s...

Re: Newbie About To Take The Plunge.

OK, an update...... Have managed to get into the config page on the hotspot, the problem was that I was expecting the Auto AP to come up with the goods and it did seem to find my modem and I was able to connect to it through my WiFi settings, however despite that, it still needed for me to go throug...

Re: Newbie About To Take The Plunge.

Thanks for that, my zum display doesn't come up with any versions it just scrolls the words MMDVM so I might flash an empty card and slot it in, keeping the old card until I know everything is working. Problem I have now is no matter how I try I can't get onto the Pi Star dashboard, non of the links...

Re: Newbie About To Take The Plunge.

Thanks Brian, I appreciate your help, especially your final comment. I think what I'll do is get my codeplug sorted out, fire up the ZumSpot and leave it on for a few days and see what happens. I've since found out a tiny bit more on the Brandmeister website but as usual they assume you know what yo...

Newbie About To Take The Plunge.

Hi all.... Some months ago I purchased a ZumSpot from Martin Lynch and for work related and personal reasons I've not hade the time to get my head around setting it up until now. The device came pre-built with the memory card pre-installed with the Pi Star software. What's concerning me now is the f...

Re: Radio Frequency ???

Thanks Andrew, I have a friend that only lives about 100mtrs away from me and I didn't want to use the one he has for his hotspot.
