YSF MMDVM ADC Levels Overflowed

Is this a problem? Just keeps scrolling through the live log.

When I run both DMR and YSF, it's fine until i key up YSF then it starts scrolling.

Thanks

Re: MMDVM Board - XD3804300

Problem solved! It would appear to be a power supply issue. If I remove the hat, power up the pi, and immediately put the hat on, everything powers up and runs as it should. I currently have a 2A PSU which seems to work for the STM hats, but obviously the initial current pull on startup is too much ...

Re: MMDVM Board - XD3804300

I will try and have a look.

I'm not sure it the pistar image, as I can use the same Pi with a Radioddity GD77 as a hotspot and I have tried a STM based hat on the GPIO pins, and that works fine also. It's either a configuration setting I am missing, or a defective modem board.....

Re: MMDVM Board - XD3804300

I cannot get the pi to even boot with the board connected, so cannot even change it.

I will try to select it, then power down the pi, connect the board and attempt to power it up again!

MMDVM Board - XD3804300

Hi folks, I'm getting all the kit together for building a DMR repeater. I have the above mentioned board (see attached photo). I have a Pi 3B+ running 4.1.0-RC6. When I connect the board to the Pi, the LEDs' on the board cycle, the red PWR LED is on, and the green LED flashes. However, the Pi won't ...

Re: OpenGD77 - Repeater

Hi Andrew, Pistar supports the GD-77 as a hotspot (Programming cable from radio to USB on the Pi), with the OpenGD77 firmware. I have both GD-77's plugged in at the moment, and one is a mirror of the other one currently, so they aren't linked to avoid looping and disrupting any network. If any membe...

Re: OpenGD77 - Repeater

Hi Andrew, Thanks for a sensible response! I have a second GD-77 on it's way. I think it could be a popular addition, as you would have a 5w quite easily portable repeater, ideal for RAYNET or other such EMCOMM groups. The downside could potentially be that anybody could start popping up with unlice...

Re: OpenGD77 - Repeater

As I said, I'm no expert. Pi Star supports duplex hats (although i'm not sure whether they are "repeaters" per se, i've never used one). The GD77 is basically operating as the modem in the place of say a zumspot hat or similar, albeit via USB as opposed to the GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi. I have o...

OpenGD77 - Repeater

Hi, I'm running a Radioddity GD-77 with Opengd77 firmware as a Hotspot. I have a second GD-77 on the way. Would it be possible to run 2x 77 with Pi-Star to make a low power quick and easy repeater? I've no idea how much work it would entail, as I'm in no way a software engineer! Food for thought? 73...
